M.E.S Indian School Evening Shift celebrates Cultural Harmony with Grand Qatar-Inspired Celebration

The Evening Shift of MES Indian School organized a vibrant and memorable Qatar National Day Celebration for students from Kindergarten to Grade 8 on Tuesday, 16 December 2025. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, teachers, and school authorities.
The programme commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by the National Anthem, setting a respectful and patriotic tone for the celebration. The gathering was honoured by the presence of the Principal Dr. Hameeda Kadar, along with the Senior Vice Principal Mr. Shihabudeen Pulath and Headmistress Mrs. Sameena Ashfaq, who graced the occasion and encouraged the young learners.

A major highlight of the celebration was the cultural segment, which included two captivating Arabic dance performances that reflected the rich cultural heritage of Qatar. Another highlight of the day was a well conceptualized skit that beautifully portrayed the past and present of Qatar’s rich heritage, giving students a meaningful insight into the nation’s cultural journey and development. The skit was highly appreciated for its message and presentation. The students looked elegant and confident as they participated wholeheartedly in the programme.

Adding colour and meaning to the event, students arrived dressed in traditional Qatari attire as well as costumes creatively inspired by the Qatar National Flag. Many students proudly carried the Qatar flag, symbolizing respect and appreciation for the host nation. A well-organized parade was conducted, featuring students in traditional costumes, representatives dressed as Police and Army officers, and showcasing unity, discipline, and cultural pride.

The celebration was conducted smoothly and successfully, reflecting excellent coordination and enthusiastic involvement from all participants. The event concluded on a joyful note, leaving behind cherished memories for everyone present. Overall, it was a wonderfully organized programme that celebrated culture, unity, and participation in a meaningful manner.
