πŸ•‹ My First Little Hajj: Inspiring Young Hearts at TNG Al Wukair KG ✨

The spirit of Dhul Hijjah came alive at TNG Al Wukair KG! Our young learners recently embarked on a beautiful, interactive journey through β€œMy First Little Hajj.”

Transforming our space into a hands-on learning environment, our little ones explored the sacred rituals of Hajj step-by-step. From learning about the Tawaf around a model Kaaba to understanding the significance of Safa and Marwa, our students experienced the beauty of these traditions firsthand.

This special event goes beyond textbook learning. By introducing the pillars of Islam through immersive play and storytelling, we help our children:

Connect with Faith: Deepening their love for Islamic values and traditions from an early age.

Build Character: Fostering essential life values like patience, unity, and reflection.

Learn by Doing: Enhancing cognitive and social development through collaborative, hands-on activities.

We are incredibly proud of our little pilgrims for their boundless enthusiasm, curiosity, and beautiful participation throughout this memorable experience. May Allah bless our young learners and guide them on a lifelong journey of faith and knowledge! 🀲❀️

🌱 Youth Leadership Programme – Community Engagement Activity 🌱

As part of our β€œDisconnect to Reconnect” initiative within the Youth Leadership Programme, our Year 2 D learners at the Wakra Primary and Secondary Campus participated in a beautiful and tactile clay art workshop. The session was wonderfully led by Lucy Finn, a freelance artist and teacher from Argentina.✨

The workshop provided our students with a fantastic opportunity to explore their creativity through hands-on learning, encouraging them to step away from screens and engage in purposeful, tactile activities. While molding their creations, the children developed:
🎯 Focus & patience
πŸ’‘ Imagination & artistic expression
πŸ–οΈ Fine motor skills

This engaging session beautifully highlighted the importance of utilizing time meaningfully and reconnecting with collaboration and real-world experiences.

A sincere thank you to Lucy Finn for inspiring our young learners and supporting them on this journey of creativity and connection. Together, we continue to empower our students to make thoughtful choices and build a balanced, meaningful lifestyle. 🌿🏫

Happy World Museum Day 2026! πŸ›οΈβœ¨

The theme for this year is "Museums Uniting a Divided World"β€”and our learners at TNG Wakra Primary and Secondary, from Year 1 all the way to Year 8, brought that concept to life right inside our classrooms this week! πŸŽ‰

From our youngest learners discovering what makes an object worth keeping, to our oldest students debating bias and misrepresentation in history, every year group took on the big questions that museums ask us to face.

Here is a glimpse at what our historical thinkers explored:
πŸ” Year 1 β€” What is a museum? Sharing precious family objects and why we protect them.
πŸ•Œ Year 2 β€” Qatar: Then & Now. Sorting what has changed and what has stayed the same.
🏺 Year 3 β€” Artefact Detectives. Reading the stories objects tell (and the ones they don't).
🌐 Year 4 β€” Museums Around the World. Finding the common thread across global cultures.
🀿 Year 5 β€” Qatar's Pearl Diving Heritage. Analyzing if exhibitions show us the full story.
✨ Year 6 β€” The Islamic Golden Age. Celebrating historical contributions the world should know about.
βš–οΈ Year 7 β€” Who Owns the Past? Engaging with evidence in the global repatriation debate.
πŸ“œ Year 8 β€” When Museums Get It Wrong. Tackling misrepresentation, bias, and critical thinking.

Every session beautifully connected back to Qatar's extraordinary heritage, the Museum of Islamic Art (MIA), the National Museum of Qatar (NMoQ), and the legacy of regional history. Our students didn't just learn about museumsβ€”they truly thought like historians.

We are incredibly proud of their insight and curiosity! πŸ‘πŸ’™

Young leaders at TNG Wakra Primary and Secondary took a deep dive into Qatar's seas today! 🌊

As part of TNG's Youth Leadership Programme (YLP), we had the privilege of hosting an interactive session for our Grade 4 learners, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change (MoECC) Qatar.

Our guest presenter, Mr. Hussain Al Haifi, captivated 52 curious young minds with an eye-opening exploration of:

🌿 Protecting our precious marine ecosystems

Our students didn't just listen β€” they asked, they wondered, and they CARED. Watching the next generation develop a genuine passion for our environment is exactly what the Youth Leadership Programme is all about. 🌱

A heartfelt thank you to the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change Qatar for making this impactful session possible, and to Ms. Fathima Nihan for coordinating this wonderful opportunity.
