Sitting is the New Smoking

It feels comfortable now… but long hours of sitting can quietly damage your health over time.

What really happens?

🔹 Early Stage: Blood flow slows, your body gets stiff, and muscles “switch off”
🔹 Mid Stage: Weak core, poor posture, and back/neck pain kick in
🔹 Long-Term: Higher risk of weight gain, low energy, and heart-related issues

Break the Sitting Trap!

Stand up every hour
Stretch it out
Take a quick walk

Small moves = BIG impact

Don’t wait for pain to remind you—move now, stay strong!

FIRE DETECTION SYSTEM – YOUR FIRST LINE OF DEFENSE

A well-designed fire detection system can save lives, assets, and operations. Understanding how it works is key for every HSE professional

🔹 Input Devices
Smoke detectors, heat detectors & manual call points detect fire at the earliest stage.

🔹 FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel)
The brain of the system – receives signals and activates alarms & controls.

🔹 Output Devices
Alarm sounders, sirens & indicator lamps warn occupants immediately.

🔹 Output Controls
Automatically shuts down equipment, controls ventilation & elevators to limit fire spread.

🔍 Types of Fire Detection:
✔ Heat Detection
✔ Smoke Detection
✔ Gas Detection (CO)
✔ Flame / Radiant Energy Detection
✔ Visual Detection (CCTV)

🚨 Remember: Early detection = Faster response = Less damage

👉 Stay alert. Stay safe.
👉 Follow proper inspection & maintenance procedures.

🚨 LIFTING CAN KILL — IF YOU IGNORE THIS! 🚨
Every lift is a planned operation, not a chance event.
Before you lift, ask yourself:
✔️ Is the lifting plan approved?
✔️ Is the load weight known?
✔️ Are slings & shackles inspected?
✔️ Is the operator certified?
✔️ Is the area barricaded?
⚠️ One wrong lift = serious injury, fatality, or major damage
👉 Remember:
“No Plan = No Lift”
“No Tagline = No Control”
Stay alert. Stay alive.

Rodents inside electrical panels can create serious safety hazards. They often chew on cables and insulation, which can lead to short circuits, electrical fires, equipment failure, and unexpected downtime.

Prevention Tips:

Seal cable entry points

Keep electrical rooms clean

Inspect panels regularly

Implement pest control measures

A small rodent can cause a big electrical hazard. Regular inspections help prevent costly and dangerous incidents.

WOULD YOU STAND HERE

Two workers standing under a suspended load.
One small mistake… one equipment failure… one miscommunication…
❌ And it can become a fatal accident.
A suspended load is one of the most dangerous hazards on any construction or industrial site. No helmet, no experience, and no training can protect you if gravity takes over.
⚠️ Remember:
• Never walk or stand under a suspended load
• Always maintain a safe exclusion zone
• Follow proper lifting plans and signals
• Stay alert and respect gravity
⚡ Gravity never gives a second chance. Safety is your responsibility.
