One of our favourite topics for Viens Jouer avec Matou & Tounette is les habits/les vêtements. We started off by dressing up our bear (notre ours) in: le t-shirt 👕, les pantalons 👖, les chaussettes 🧦, les chaussures 🩰, le chapeau 👒. We also dressed Matou up in: une jupe and then une robe 👗.

We also stuck together various parts of clothing that Matou and Tounette were wearing. Then we had a song where a cheeky little monkey (petit singe) 🐒 stole les cinq chaussettes. And we found the elephant game again to revise the various items of clothing as well as body parts.

As you can see, learning French can be so so fun with all our songs, activities and games. These 3 and 4 year olds were loving it. 😍

L'histoire d'une petite étoile 🏅⭐️🌟💫

Our 3-4 year olds learned shapes (les formes) in their French class today and we had lots of fun playing a shape sorting game with different shaped objects and a fun shapes song to go with it. Learning with us is always done in a fun way with games, songs and stories 🟨🟢🔺️🎵🎶🎲

Another lovely review from two siblings N & L who've really enjoyed Spanish since Christmas last year and have carried on ever since. Can't wait to have them back in class this year for some more Spanish fun & games as they learn whilst playing with their friends 🧡

As we approach the end of the summer holidays, why not share what you've been upto! We travelled abroad by plane and did lots of swimming at the pool and played by the beach, so I thought it'd be fun to share some of this vocabulary with you in French and Spanish. What did you get upto? Can you say it in French or Spanish? If not, tell me in English and I'll tell you the French and Spanish word for it!

It's been an absolute pleasure having 4-year old V attend my Spanish classes since I first launched Little Linguists towards the end of last year. The sheer excitement as he runs into class every single time brings me so much joy, but more than that what really stands out to me is how he visited Spain over the Eid holidays this year and couldn't wait to tell me how he has been practicing all of his Spanish, and made friends with Spanish children in the playground using whatever vocabulary he had learned in class. Also, seeing the friendships develop within this particular Spanish class has been so lovely. Can't wait to welcome V back for another term of learning Spanish 🥰 Hasta muy pronto!!

Calling all DESS parents. Excited to announce that Little Linguists will be offering French and Spanish ECAs at DESS from September 2025. Stay tuned for more updates, this is such an exciting development for us as so many of you have expressed interest and now we can finally make it a reality. Today's theme in Spanish for the 3-5 year olds was "beber y comer" - not only did we listen to a story about Milo going to "el café", but we took it one step further by taking turns to role-play visiting el café and ordering items that we had learned earlier:

para comer: un sandwich, un pastel, un plátano, una manzana, y
para beber: leche, zumo de naranja, té y café.
We also practiced numbers by counting how many coins each item cost.

Our classes are full of toys, props and games that are relevant to the theme of the week and that's what makes our classes so fun for them by learning through simulation.

It's been such a fun year for us so far and can't quite believe we only have 5 weeks left before the summer holidays!
