The last Environmental Club meeting of the year is tomorrow in Ms. Keigley's room (science lab across from the theater) at lunch. We will be holding elections for the next leadership team- please come and cast your vote! Whether you've been a dedicated member since day one or are considering joining in the fall, stop by for the election. There will be brownies for everyone!

Our recent sustainability-focused service and education trip to Spain has been covered by ASD news! Read the piece discussing this trip (and other spring break service iniatives) here.

Come watch the entertaining climate change documentary "Before the Flood", featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, this Thursday (March 16th) at 4 in the ASD High School Presentation Room. Admission is 5QR and there will be homemade milkshakes and food for sale during the event. All proceeds will go to support ASD Environmental Club service trips and educational campaigns. Parents, students, and teachers are welcome- invite your friends!

Come and check out the ASD Environmental Club this morning at the Friendship Festival! Our table is on the Elementary School field, and we'll be selling books and small plants to support environmental sustainability.

Beach clean-up December 2016!

All of the e-waste from our drive was collected today by the Al Haya Waste Management and Recycling company! We recycled dozens of printers, cables, cell phones, laptops, printer cartridges, cameras, etc. Thank you to everyone who donated electronics and saved your device and its harmful chemicals from the landfill! I'd also like to give a special shout-out to Environmental Club Vice President, Natasha, for not only coming up with the idea for the e-waste drive, but also MAKING IT HAPPEN every step of the way!!

Don't forget to bring in your old electronics to the Environmental Club's e-waste drive! There are drop-off boxes in front of the HS office. The drive will end on January 12, 2017, at which time all contributed devices will be recycled by the Al Haya waste management and recycling company here in Doha.

The Environmental Club had a very successful and fun beach clean-up yesterday! 24 students and 4 teachers worked together to collect 15 full bags of trash and make Doha a bit more eco-friendly. Thank you to Fatima Fatima Monazir Gafoor for taking these beautiful pictures!!
