I live in Lisbon (Portugal), together with my wife Sofia and our four Shetlands (Salty, Spicy, Sheepy and Salina) and also with 3 parrots to increase a little bit more the entropy at home.. Agility becomes my hobby since early 80’s when I handled a portuguese pointer, a golden retriever, an American cocker and a Belgian shepherd Tervueren.
We had our first Sheltie in 2008, and now we have four and we had our first litter (“of Luso Shelties”) in 2013 and the second in 2015. Our puppies are training agility in Portugal, Spain and Brazil.
Sine 1998 I have been regularly the coach and team leader of Portugal at the World Agility Championships and European Championships.
In the last 5 years I have been team member in the WAC’s and EO’s with my Sheltie Spicy.
My national judging career started in 1997 and since 1999 I am an international judge. I had the chance to judge many international competitions and championships in Portugal, Spain, Brazil, Norway, Finland and Czech Republic.
In 2001 I had the opportunity to judge the World Agility Championship in Porto (Portugal): a dream came true
