And so it comes to an end... Portalegre 2020 was a true adventure for a generation of young people who thrived during this experience. This video produced by our Editor Artur Matos and the Editorial Assistant Gonçalo Diniz shows how every second of Portalegre 2020 built a spirit of union and empwerement, how every participant made the difference in this experience and how some sessions never end.
The European Youth Parliament is a platform that promotes open debate and civic participation amongst young people. In Portalegre 2020, the delegates debated topics that range from the impacts of fossil fuel to youth unemployement. In order to provide a better understanding of the topics, our Media Team Member Diogo Matos, assisted by Margarida Freitas, created this incredible project that explains every topic debated in portalegre.
The future can be uncertain and, with that in mind, our Media Team Member Tomas Coimbra interviewed some participants of Portalegre 2020 to know what their hopes are for the future of Europe.
From better ways of practicing agriculture to the use of nuclear power, this incredible project shows what some of us want as European Citizens.

It is said that a picture has the power of telling a story. Here we tell the stories of some of the participants of Portalegre 2020.
They were asked to reflect upon their lifes, their accomplishments, their goals, their dreams. After a small conversation about it they were challenged to imagine the movie that would tell their story and take a picture for the poster. After some magic we now present you the posters for the next award-winning movies!

Work in progress! After delegates had the opportunity to bond with their committees on Friday, Saturday brought about the most productive day of the session . A lot of interesting ideas were discussed, polished and adjusted to draft resolutions for the General Assembly.

And they are here! On Friday delegates arrived in Portalegre and engaged in team building activities to get to know their committees and chairs. We’re excited to have them here and see the session finally coming to fruition!
