🤝

🌍 CERIS researchers joined the European Researchers’ Night 2025, held on September 26 in Lisbon and Aveiro, celebrating science and bringing researchers closer to the public through hands-on activities.

🔬 In Lisbon, at the National Museum of Natural History & Science and Príncipe Real Garden, Inês Flores-Colen and Maria Concepción Pacheco Menor collaborated with CERENA to showcase the circular economy in action — transforming waste into valuable resources for sustainable construction. Visitors explored how materials like marine biomass, disposable masks, and electronic waste can be reused and reimagined.

🏛️ In Aveiro, at the Fábrica Centro Ciência Viva, CERIS took part in the SCIENCE@UA fair with two interactive sessions:

🟢3D technologies in heritage rehabilitation, exploring 3D printing and digital tools for preserving historic buildings.

Learning about earthquakes through virtual reality, offering immersive experiences of seismic events and the science behind early warning systems.

✨ Across both cities, CERIS researchers inspired curiosity, showing how science drives innovation and sustainability.
