We are a group of friends with the intention of creating and sharing an alternative way of living.

The more time I spend reweaving my connection with the web of life, the more I realise that there is nothing else I could do with the time I have I this life. Down underneath all fears, judgements and ideas of security lies a strong consciousness that there is no other thing to do than surrender to the interconnection that we are made of. We can choose to live in denial, or decide to live in connection with our deepest wisdom and that of nature.

Here it is, coming toward an end of a 7 months experience. As all of this was born as an experiment, so it as been. It has all been a continuous evolution of events, feelings, talks, adventures, work. Many people came and many left, many plats bloom and many dried out, many songs singed and many games played.

These are pictures from the garden. This is the big transformation that happened in the Varsea, the bottom part of the land. Is the idea of one, the work, sweat, contribution, cooperation, satisfaction, happiness of many.

. From scratches to abundant harvests
From seeds to trees
From flowers to fruits
From the garden to the table ..

We have finally made it, from the Seeds to the Table. Yesterday was a celebration day!!
Dinner with: gnocchi al pesto di zucchine, basilico, tomatoes and fresh salad. 80% of the food we eat was from the vegetable garden (basil, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic, potatoes, salad, cucumbers). The garden we gave love to, we sweated for, we had fun with is now providing us food to fill our bellies!

The 2 kg of potatoes we planted when we first got here have yielded 40 kg of fresh, full organic, high quality potatoes (+ something else for the occasional visits of the wild pigs ;) )

Rafiki collective is undergoing a new waive of feelings, emotions and self-expression. Now we don't live all together anymore but we will still try to stick to our values and to the main reason that brought us here together: Try to experiment and explore an alternative, more pacific, natural and communal way of living.

In the Mean time....
Our veggies are growing and the toilet is finished!

Rafiki collective selling the Home Made ORANGE MARMALADE and sharing knowledge&seeds at the Festival de Permacultura in Barão de Sãn João.

Our oranges have been collected in a field close to our land. Where a local farmer gave us the possibility to collect his fruits since he can’t afford the job anymore. They are fully organic and local.

The big Garden Mission! The bottom part of the valley is flat and has a stream flowing in it. The air is fresh, the Soil is fertile and nature around seems to respect our need to take a small part of the wild in order to plant our food. Here are some pictures of how everything started and is proceeding!
