STEAMies – A New International Project Begins!

We are excited to announce that our school is now part of STEAMies, an Erasmus+ project bringing together three countries — Portugal, France, and Greece — to work on innovative, hands-on solutions for improving air and water quality.

👩‍🏫👨‍🎓 In STEAMies, students and teachers become citizen scientists, using simple tools and accessible technology to collect real environmental data, analyse results, and take action to improve their local environment.

🔬💧🌬 The project connects:
🇵🇹 AE Afonso de Albuquerque (Portugal)
🇫🇷 Collège Antoine-Augustin Parmentier (France)
🇬🇷 Junior High School of Livadochori & Web2Learn (Greece)

Together, we will:
✔ carry out practical and creative STEAM activities
✔ monitor air and water quality in our communities
✔ participate in international trainings in Portugal, France, and Greece
✔ develop student-led environmental mini-projects
✔ organise exhibitions and community events
✔ contribute to European citizen-science platforms

This is a project made with students and for students, connecting schools and research partners across Europe to promote STEAM education, sustainability, and active citizenship.
