Ofereceremos o terceiro ciclo e o curso de Ciências e Tecnologias do secundário para jovens dos 12 aos 18 anos.

Liceu Azul opens its doors in September, between Aljezur and Rogil, for students and families looking for a different approach to education in Portugal.

At Liceu Azul, we believe the language a child brings with them is not a barrier, but a strength.

That's why we embrace translanguaging: an approach where students are encouraged to draw on all the languages they know to think, understand, and learn. Research shows this supports deeper understanding, builds confidence, and helps children reach their full potential.

Portuguese remains our shared classroom language. At the same time, we value every student's home language as a resource that enriches learning for everyone.

Because meaningful learning begins when every child feels they can be themselves.

Muitas línguas. Uma comunidade de aprendizagem.

No Liceu Azul, acreditamos que a língua que cada criança traz consigo não é uma barreira, mas uma recurso.

Por isso, adotamos o translanguaging: uma abordagem em que os alunos são incentivados a recorrer a todas as línguas que conhecem para pensar, compreender e aprender. A investigação mostra que esta abordagem promove uma compreensão mais profunda, aumenta a confiança e ajuda cada criança a desenvolver todo o seu potencial.

Children learn far beyond textbooks. They learn in environments where curiosity is encouraged, confidence grows naturally, and learning is connected to real life.

At Liceu Azul, children learn through meaningful experiences, outdoor exploration, creativity and collaboration.

Languages aren't just subjects here. Children use them naturally every day through conversations, projects and real-life situations.

Through local projects, learning becomes connected to the world around them. Children discover their community and learn that they can make a meaningful contribution.

Freedom in learning

Barefoot through the grass. Hiding between trees and plants. The laughter of children echoing through the forest.

Simple moments, light and full of life.
To many, this looks like children playing.
To us, this is also learning.
Because freedom creates space for curiosity.
Movement creates space for thought.
And play is often where confidence, creativity, independence, and connection begin.

At Liceu Azul, we believe education should not only happen inside four walls.
Learning also happens when children explore, observe, experiment, create, collaborate, rest, and move freely through the world around them.
That is why nature is not simply a backdrop here.
It is part of the learning environment itself.
Little by little, this dream is coming to life.

Through project-based learning, students work on real and meaningful experiences that connect different areas of knowledge. They learn by asking questions, building ideas, solving problems, reflecting, and collaborating with others.

No Liceu Azul, acreditamos que a educação não deve acontecer apenas entre quatro paredes.
