The online lecture series on machine learning and artificial intelligence, titled PWF Palestine, organized by Palestine Technical University – Kadoorie, concluded its successful run (organized by: Jebreen , Barbier , ElKhozondar , Stojic , and M. A. Amro ). This workshop, which took place from October 15, 2025, to December 16, 2025, was a collaborative effort between Palestine Technical University, Islamic University of Gaza, Al-Aqsa University, University College of Applied Sciences – Gaza, Scientists for Palestine, and the Palestine Young Academy.
The program covered a wide range of topics, from Generative AI and Creativity (art, music, design) to Artificial Intelligence and its applications in computational physics, data science, astrophysics, and smart agriculture. Among the cutting-edge subjects discussed were the impact of AI in climate change modeling, food security, and renewable energy forecasting.
Esteemed speakers from global institutions contributed to the workshop, including:
Dr. Mauro Pastore (ICTP)
Dr. Maleika Heenaye-Mamode Khan (University of Mauritius)
Prof. Shaoping Xiao (University of Iowa)
Prof. Stefano Gabici (CNRS, Paris)
Dr. Donna Rodgers-Lee (Dublin Institute for Advanced Studies)
Dr. Deema Toteh (University of Iowa)
Prof. Jose M. Marban (University of Valladolid)
Prof. Alfonso Garcia-Monge (University of Valladolid)
Prof. Kamel Jebreen, Palestine Technical University and Prof. Hala J. El-Khozondar, Islamic University of Gaza, spearheaded the event’s organization, providing participants with both theoretical and practical knowledge in materials modeling and simulation techniques.
