An-Najah University through a fund from Nuffic, Orange knowledge Program, and in partnership with other 9 Palestinian Universities and 5 Dutch Universities, is implementing a project Capaci
ty Building in WASH and CSA Education and Research in Palestine, from 1/5/2019 up to 13/12/2021, hereafter called “OKP Palestine. The project aims at strengthening education and research in water, specifically efficient water management for CSA, and improved access to WASH through good governance and sound technical management. The project is aiming at achieving the following outputs by the end of the project;
i. Curricula and syllabi of CSA and WASH revised/ developed (including gender topics, legal aspects entrepreneurial concepts) in the universities in collaboration with stakeholders. Capacity building of staffs/stakeholders in new updated/developed curriculum through research in WASH and CSA
iii. Competencies/ qualifications of academic and non-academic staff as well as water stakeholders/ professionals enhanced through TMTs. Smart, profession oriented, teaching and learning methodologies in the fields of WASH and CSA are implemented. Infrastructure/ resources enhanced to facilitate smart quality education and research. Palestinian universities engage in national and international partnerships
vii. Palestinian water sector engage with each other to jointly address water sector issues in the field of WASH and CSA
viii. Palestinian – Dutch connections between universities, knowledge institutes and private sector are facilitated and actively exploited
ix. Palestinian alumni in the fields of water , sanitation and agriculture is established, mobilized, and involved in developing education and research
