On Wednesday, December 17th, Al-Quds Bard College hosted a professional development workshop titled “Reflection and Metacognitive Practices” for teachers from La Salle Jerusalem–New Gate. The workshop was led by the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Master of Arts in Teaching program, and was conducted as part of the collaboration between La Salle Jerusalem- New Gate and Al-Quds Bard College.

The Center for Teaching and Learning conducted its third workshop of the Research-Based Teaching and Learning Program, titled “Reflect & Identify a Problem of Practice,” which was hosted in person on Monday, 15 December. The workshop included participants from various academic faculties at AQU, including Dentistry, Education, and Law. The RBTL Program is a one-year professional development opportunity for AQU faculty interested in pedagogical research leadership.

The new IWT CLASP Certificate in Global Pedagogy invites faculty from GHEA21 partner institutions to deepen their global classroom practice by completing at least six workshops, including two focused on global learning, during the 2025–2026 academic year.

The Center for Teaching and Learning hosted comprehensive workshops aimed at enhancing the teaching methodologies of professors from Al-Quds University and beyond. The workshops focused on the “Language and Thinking” course and emphasized student-centered approaches and effective teaching strategies. Participants engaged in interactive sessions designed to foster critical thinking and active learning among students. We are excited to see how these newly acquired strategies will enrich the educational experience and promote a more engaging and dynamic classroom environment!

Register Now for the "Writing to Read Difficult Texts" Workshop
The CTL highly encourages educators to register for this important workshop, "Writing to Read Difficult Texts" workshop. This three-hour session is specifically designed for those in technical disciplines such as Law, Economics, and Public Policy, which often involve working with challenging and complex theoretical texts.
This workshop will provide participants with writing-rich strategies aimed at demystifying difficult readings. Techniques such as focused free writing, text rendering, loop writing, writing from sights and scents, and performance will be explored and applied within participants' own classes.
