On behalf of the graduating candidates from the Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón - Página Oficial, we respectfully submit this request for the removal of the designation "Nursing - Online" from our official academic transcripts.
This label does not align with any official academic category outlined in the University Catalog, nor does it accurately reflect the hybrid and rigorous in-person clinical structure of our educational experience. We consider its inclusion to be both inaccurate and potentially discriminatory, particularly considering that our academic curriculum includes a total of 1,140 hours of hands-on clinical practice in real patient care settings across Puerto Rico.
Additionally, this designation is not representative of any recognized undergraduate degree title/major in nursing. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at our institution is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), an accrediting body that exclusively accredits programs with a required clinical practice component. Therefore, the current transcript designation may misrepresent the academic quality and regulatory compliance of the program.
For these reasons, we respectfully request that the designation "Nursing - Online" be reviewed and corrected on our official transcripts to accurately reflect the program structure, academic integrity, and the in-person components that define our nursing education.
