On September 17, 2026, Detachment 755 traveled to the Coliseo Tomás Dones, in Fajardo, for a recruitment event focused on introducing students to Air Force ROTC and the opportunities available upon becoming a cadet.
As the event began, cadets and cadre prepared the recruitment area and activities, setting the stage for students to experience and learn more about the AFROTC program.
With the event underway, Lt Col Jonathan Vazquez, Detachment Commander, gathered with the cadets to set the tone and emphasize their role in representing Detachment 755. Cadets then engaged with participants, answered questions, and shared their experiences in AFROTC.
Beyond learning about the program, participants had the opportunity to put themselves to the test through a series of physical challenges. Each challenge brought a new opportunity to push their limits, with rewards awaiting those who took it on.
The event also provided an opportunity for Detachment 755 to connect with members of the Coliseo Tomás Dones community who helped make the day possible.
From introducing students to AFROTC to bringing the program into communities across Puerto Rico, events like this create opportunities for youth to discover a career of growth, leadership, and service in the U.S. Air and Space Forces.
