What is La Chicoteca?
It's an art-based educational space for your child to learn Spanish.
Who will teach my child?
It's me, Viktoriia, the founder of La Chicoteca and a professional teacher with over 8 years of experience in teaching foreign languages to children.
Why art-based learning?
As an educator, I have always found project-based learning in informal atmosphere being the most-effective method in teaching foreign languages to young learners. As a person, I have always been interested in all types of arts and felt the need to engage my creativity in everything I do. I was lucky to become a teacher as teaching provides an infinite number of opportunities for my ideas to take shape while I fill them with meaning. Therefore, La Chicoteca offers Spanish lessons which will help your child discover the fascinating world of imagination through the full linguistic immersion. We will play&learn, dance&sing, experiment&create and much more.
Why Spanish?
As a child, my biggest dream was to speak 10 languages. One day Spanish by the art of magic appeared in my life during my student years. Having a curious mind led me to studying in a Spanish university and, subsequently, surrounding myself with Spanish culture for many years onward while blending in with Spanish-speaking society. It was the moment when I realized how unique and diverse is the Hispanic world and how much it can offer to the world. That is why, lessons in La Chicoteca try to bring this richness and diversity to the bright minds of the little ones, spark their imagination and let it flow. As an adult, my biggest dream is to visit all 21 Spanish-speaking countries and bring more invaluable experience and knowledge to my students.
