🎭📚 A poem comes to life when children become the storytellers!

During their Polish lessons, our Grade 1 students stepped into the world of Jan Brzechwa's beloved poem Kaczka Dziwaczka, bringing the story to life through a short performance.

Reading aloud, acting, and performing in front of their classmates helps children build confidence, fluency, creativity, and communication skills—all while making literature fun and memorable. Seeing them proudly read the poem themselves was a wonderful reminder that learning happens best when children are actively involved.

Every year at ITSW, our Chinese classes include opportunities for students to discover and experience Chinese culture firsthand. This time, our students shared tea, tasted traditional mooncakes, and learned more about the traditions connected to them.

We believe language and culture belong together. That’s why cultural experiences are an important part of our language learning throughout the year—helping students not only develop their communication skills, but also build curiosity, cultural awareness, and a deeper understanding of the world. 🌏💙

🌲✨ Our Grade 5 students started the school year with a very special experience.

Last week, they took part in a Forest Camp focused on Green Goals and Life on Land, exploring one big idea: the role of every generation is to help restore and protect our forests.

Through different subjects and languages — including biology, social studies, maths, science and group discussions — students explored questions such as:

🌿 How does deforestation affect future generations?
🌱 What is the difference between preservation and restoration?

At ITSW, we organise trips that encourage young minds to become more aware of the world around them, think independently, act responsibly, and understand that their choices can make a difference. 💙

🦁🌿 This week, our Grade 6 students took a trip to the zoo!

Learning in the classroom is important — but it’s only part of the bigger picture. We want our students to see how the knowledge they gain at school connects with the real world around them.

A field trip is a chance to observe, ask questions, discover something new, and simply enjoy learning in a different environment. And no matter how old you are, learning should still be interesting, engaging, and fun. ✨

It’s also about spending time together outside the classroom — talking, laughing, building friendships, and strengthening the sense of community that is such an important part of school life. 💙

Because education is not only about what students know, but also about the experiences that help them grow.
