We took part as an exhibitor in this year’s Polonia Camp! ✨

The event was officially opened by Mrs. Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, Marshal of the Polish Senat Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej, and our Dean, dr Aleksandra Uruska, joined one of the panels about foreign students at Polish universities. 🎓

At our booth, visitors could learn more about our university, see our merch, take part in a medical contest with prizes, and try their hand at practical activities such as stitching wounds. 🩺

Thank you to everyone who visited us, stopped for a chat, and shared their interest and energy. It was a great chance to meet so many inspiring people and be part of such an exceptional event! 💙

PUMS Summer School - what a blast! 🌞🏥

This July, we had the absolute pleasure of welcoming over 40 brilliant international students to the Poznan University of Medical Sciences for our annual Summer School!

It was an incredibly intense, hands-on week where learning met unforgettable summer vibes. Our students dove straight into the deep end, mastering suturing techniques, exploring dental workshops, and stepping right into the operating theater. 😷🩺

Beyond the practical skills, they engaged in vital lectures covering everything from geriatric care and advanced laser applications to the absolute necessity of SPF protection! 🌞

But it wasn't all work and no play! After bravely fighting off the jet lag, our participants got the full Poznań experience. They explored our beautiful campus, took a trip down history lane at the Old Market Square, tasted tradition at the Poznań Croissant Museum (Rogalowe Muzeum Poznania), and spent a well-deserved, relaxing day off by the gorgeous Poznań Rusałka lake.

Combining medicine with pleasure is our specialty. Thank you to everyone who made this summer school so unforgettable. You came as strangers, but you’re leaving as part of the PUMS family! ❤

We continue to invest in a more personal and meaningful examination experience by sending our staff overseas ✈⛴to run exams on site, rather than relying on online formats.

There is something truly valuable about meeting face to face. Being in the same room allows for clearer communication, stronger connections, and a more authentic exchange.

It gives candidates the opportunity to present themselves with confidence, while our team can better support, guide, and understand each individual 💪.

While online options offer convenience, we believe that in-person exams and interviews bring a level of integrity, engagement, and human connection that simply cannot be replicated on a screen.

A valued member of our academic community, prof. Mostowska was a beloved teacher and mentor, awarded by students on many occasions, passionate scientist, caring administrator, professional colleague, and a good friend.
