The abstracts are being reviewed by a 4-person committee at our Institute of Linguistics.

So far, 13 proposals from Poland and 4 proposals from Germany.

The extended Call for Papers is by 04th June

Our next academic session 🫡 While preparing for the June conference, we still remember about more cosy meetings. This time with guest speakers from Year 1 (MA) and Year 2 (BA) of English Philology.

On Friday, 24th of April, members of our club participated in the 18th Student-Doctoral Linguistics Conference “Język w Poznaniu” at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań.

And here's the special place our 2 members visited today! It'll take a few weeks to have our episode aired, but we're already happy to have had the opportunity and looking forward to watching the recording together 😇

The upcoming week will be quite intenisve 😱 Before the Thursday debate on War and Justice, our members will pay a surprise visit to a special place 🤔 The details will follow - but now, here is a throwback to the 10th anniversary of Global Communication and 35th anniversary of English Philology, where we were honoured to present as KN Language and Society.

We want freedom of speech - but do we want it for everyone and every time? Libel, hybrid war, incitement into hatered, or the comments we (!) find hurtful - where is the boundary? Freedom of speech - and of expression? Or maybe the discussion is futile, as a freedom to voice or opininions merely conceals our subjugation in other speheres of life?
