Erasmus Programme: English Philology Students’ Experiences - Information Meeting

If you are considering taking part in the Erasmus Programme, we would like to invite you a meeting on
10 March 2026 (Tuesday) from 8:30 a.m. to 9.15 a.m, in Lecture Room 2, Building A3.

During the meeting, our students will share their exchange programme experiences.
The topics will include:
- An introduction by Polish students (Erasmus participants in the winter term 2025/2026) to selected universities with which UR has Erasmus exchange agreements;
- A discussion of the positive and negative aspects of their stay, including the study programme, finances, social life, sightseeing, and more;
- Presentations by Erasmus exchange students studying at UR in the summer term 2025/2026 about their home universities.

Dziś nasi studenci mieli okazję uczestniczyć w spotkaniu autorskim oraz warsztatach poetyckich prowadzonych przez Nasim Łuczaj. Nasim jest poetką dwujęzyczną oraz tłumaczką literacką z języka polskiego i angielskiego. Wychowała się na Podkarpaciu, a obecnie dzieli swój czas między Londynem a Glasgow. Jest autorką tomu Hind Mouth (Earthbound Press) oraz współredaktorką magazynu poetyckiego Wet Grain. Jej najnowszy tom poezji, Tang, ukaże się nakładem wydawnictwa Faber.
Zaproszona przez Sekcję Literacką naszego Koła Naukowego Anglistów, Nasim zaprezentowała fragmenty swojej twórczości oraz poprowadziła krótkie warsztaty z pisania poezji. Był to niezwykle inspirujący wieczór, za który serdecznie dziękujemy wszystkim uczestnikom, a przede wszystkim samej Autorce 😊
Today, our students had the opportunity to take part in a poetry reading and writing workshop led by Nasim Łuczaj. Nasim is a bilingual poet and Polish–English translator, raised in Subcarpathia, now dividing her time between London and Glasgow. She is the author of Hind Mouth (Earthbound Press) and the co-editor of the poetry magazine Wet Grain. Her forthcoming poetry collection, Tang, will be published by Faber.
Nasim is a graduate of the Creative and Life Writing MA at Goldsmiths, University of London, and holds a degree in English Literature and Philosophy from the University of Glasgow. She is also an alumna of the National Centre for Writing’s Emerging Translator Mentorship.
Invited by the Literary Section of our English Society, Nasim introduced us to her poetry and conducted a poetry-writing workshop for our aspiring poets 😊
It was a truly inspiring evening. Our heartfelt thanks go to everyone involved, and especially to Nasim herself 😊

Everyone is welcome!

In this writing workshop, you’ll be invited to loosen your grip on language and celebrate the absurd through a few collaborative writing exercises. No previous writing experience required! Nasim Łuczaj is a prize-winning poet and Polish­–English translator based between London and Glasgow. She grew up in a village near Krosno.
