🇪🇺 NONFORMAL Project | Final Transnational Project Meeting in Malta 🇲🇹

Yesterday, the partners of the NONFORMAL Non-formal Education for Functional Literacy of the Youth project came together in Malta for our Final Transnational Project Meeting, kindly hosted by Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade.

As we approach the final stages of this Erasmus+ journey, the meeting offered an important opportunity to look back at the work carried out together, review the results achieved across the different project activities, discuss the finalisation of the Project Handbook and other key outputs, and coordinate the last steps towards project completion.

Over the course of the project, partners from , , and have contributed their knowledge, experience and commitment to developing and testing approaches that strengthen young people's functional literacy through non-formal education.

A sincere thank you to all project partners for the work carried out so far and for their continued cooperation as we move towards the final completion of this wonderful project. 💙
And a special thank you to Mediterranean Academy of Culture, Technology and Trade, our Maltese partner, for hosting the final meeting and for the warm welcome and hospitality in Malta. 🇲🇹

We are almost at the end of our NONFORMAL journey but we look forward to seeing the knowledge, methodologies and connections developed through the project continue beyond its formal conclusion.

During the Non-formal training activity in Malta, participants explored how non-formal education methods can be applied to foreign language learning.

The activity showed how interactive, participatory and experience-based approaches can support young people in developing practical communication skills and functional literacy.

The Non-formal project also focused on environmental education through non-formal methods during the training activity held in Poland.

Participants shared practices and experiences on how environmental topics can be used to engage young people, promote active participation and strengthen transversal skills.

🇧🇬 Transnational Training in Smolyan, Bulgaria – A Shared Learning Experience

The ongoing training in Smolyan, hosted by our partner Ecoworld Rhodopes, is offering participants a truly meaningful opportunity to connect, reflect and grow through non-formal education.

Over the past days, young participants from , , and have taken part in interactive sessions, cultural activities and environmental learning experiences in the heart of the Rhodope Mountains.

💬 The energy is high, and the enthusiasm of the participants reflects the quality of the work done by all partner organisations, a strong and committed team that continues to deliver concrete results.

🎬 The final day of the NONFORMAL Training in Poronin

And just like that, our week in Poland has come to a close! The last day of the international training was filled with creativity, reflection and meaningful closure.

♻️ Participants took part in upcycling workshops, turning everyday materials into beautiful handmade lanterns.

📸 The Photo Contest winners were announced, showcasing how each team captured the essence of environmental learning.

🎓 We concluded with the Youthpass ceremony and a joint evaluation, recognising everyone's commitment and learning throughout the project.

📖 Final touches were added to the Project Booklet, collecting shared experiences and results.

🌍 The day closed with a final eco-workshop and dissemination planning to ensure the project’s message continues to spread.

🌱 Learning through nature, connecting through education!

Today’s activities in Poronin brought the focus of the NONFORMAL training to green jobs and the role of youth in building a sustainable future.

Participants explored eco-career paths in each partner country:
🇵🇱 Agri-Tech Entrepreneur
🇲🇹 Sustainable Tourism Developer
🇧🇬 Renewable Energy Technician
🇹🇷 Eco-Friendly Textile Innovator

🎭 The group also joined in an interactive eco-charades activity before heading to Zakopane for a study visit at the Nature Education Center, combining environmental learning with outdoor exploration.

📸 Photos were taken for the ongoing Eco Photo Contest, followed by daily reflections and a leaders' meeting.
