It is our pleasure to invite you to take part in the second edition of Lublin Poster Biennale. This year, the competition is open to graduates of art faculties, and young professionals (below 36).

Participants can submit posters in the open category (free subject) and two subject categories (the 700th Anniversary of Lublin's City Charter and the 70th Anniversary of the end of WWII).

The estimated prize value is 15 000 PLN (Grand Prix 5 000 PLN, 1st prize 3 000 PLN, special prize founded by the President of Lublin 2 000 PLN).

The exhibition and the award gala will be held in December 2015, in Labirynt Gallery in Lublin. For details, visit our website and our updated facebook profile.

International Poster Biennale Lublin About the Biennial

The International Poster Biennial in Lublin is an event of exceptional significance for the world of visual arts, which has successfully promoted contemporary poster art for years. We focus on discovering new directions and trends in graphic design whilst celebrating the diversity of forms and means of expression characteristic of contemporary posters.

The Biennial serves as a platform for dialogue between different generations of creators, from established designers to young talents just entering the world of design. It is a space for exchanging experiences and inspiration, where tradition meets modernity.

We pay particular attention to cultivating the rich tradition of poster art, especially the Polish poster school, known worldwide for its originality and power of expression. We believe that knowledge of history and classical techniques is the foundation for innovation and fresh perspectives on contemporary design challenges.

The Biennial is also a place for reflection on the social role of the poster as a medium that crosses borders, connects cultures and responds to the most important issues of the contemporary world. Through the competition, we aim to inspire the creation of engaged works that not only delight with their form but also carry significant messages.
