🗽 The "Media in America. America in Media" conference creates a unique space for discussion and exchange of experiences.
🌍🎤 Our keynote speaker Ilias Ben-Mna, who had previously participated in earlier editions, has decided to visit Lublin as a special guest and meet with us. ✨ In his lecture, he touched on many interesting and relevant topics regarding the relationship between AI and humans 🤖💡.
While the example he presented was based on a fictional film 🎬 "Companion" (2025), the questions about the boundaries in these relationships are very real. Stay tuned for more conference memories and updates on publications! 📚🔍

We’re back! As the media today turns its spotlight on the inaugural ceremony of Donald Trump, we invite you to focus on something broader—an exploration of American media and America in media.
On March 27–28, 2025, we are hosting the 5th edition of the Media in America conference https://mediaameryka.wixsite.com/umcs, an online international and interdisciplinary gathering for media enthusiasts dedicated to examining topics spanning the Americas, from North to South.
This year, we are thrilled to collaborate with the EU Erasmus+ project MigraMedia https://www.uni-hildesheim.de/migramedia/ Together, we aim to address critical questions about borders from a global perspective and to explore the significant impact of media on how migration is perceived across the world. But our array of topics is much broader and we hope everyone would find something of interest to share at the Media in America conference.

Submit your proposals by February 15 via our CFP and submission form, available at https://mediaameryka.wixsite.com/umcs The conference is hosted on Teams by Maria Curie-Skłodowska University and is free of charge.
