"..It is impossible to access the Cemetery of the Victims of Fascism in Kolce through the forest. You can't get there by car or bus. Even with an off-road vehicle, it's an extremely difficult task. On April 13, 2026, a team of Czech archaeologists and I attempted to reach the Cemetery of Victims of Fascism in Kolce via the "forest road" indicated in Mr. Malepszak's letter.
Near the administrative border of Kolce and Sierpnice, there is a viaduct under the Wałbrzych-Kłodzko railway line. It is an unpaved dirt road.
This "road" is riddled with deep tractor ruts. Just beyond the viaduct is a steep road through someone's meadow. The slippery grass caused our vehicle to nearly roll onto the railway line (and we still zigzagged almost to the middle of it). After reaching the cemetery level, a very narrow dirt road with sharp drops and climbs leads to the cemetery and is covered in deep ruts, and low-hanging tree branches scrape the roof. Moreover, due to the sedimentation of the slope, this road will only disappear, sliding downhill. Death in the eyes, and the fear of falling down the hillside onto the tracks located some 50 meters below.
Returning, we continued on to the next viaduct to get back to a civilized, proper road, but we encountered a closed forest barrier. A man we met by chance with keys helped us.."
