🌍 Erasmus+ – a meeting of cultures that stays in memory

At Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, we believe that international exchange is more than just a study programme – it is about people, experiences, and stories that shape an academic community.

Our Erasmus+ students came from different countries and backgrounds, yet they shared one thing in common – their time at PAAS and in Poland became a truly meaningful experience. In short messages, they introduce themselves, share where they come from, and reflect on what they will remember most about their stay.

They speak about the atmosphere of the university, openness of people, new friendships, and everyday moments that together created their student journey. It is often these small details that remain in memory the longest.

We would like to thank all Erasmus+ participants for their presence, energy, and contribution to our academic community. 🌿

Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences invites future students to discover a world without borders.

🌎Erasmus+ without borders – another chapter of our mobility in Brazil 🇧🇷

The following days of the mobility programme carried out by representatives of Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences at UFF - Universidade Federal Fluminense were marked by intensive discussions, exchange of experiences and building strong foundations for future international cooperation. 💼

The programme included presentations of the partner universities participating in the mobility. We had the pleasure of presenting Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences, its history, development strategy, international activities and opportunities for future cooperation. We also had the opportunity to learn more about the activities of Universidade Federal Fluminense and partner institution from Lisbon – Universidade Europeia, which provided an excellent platform for exchanging best practices and discussing the common challenges facing modern higher education institutions.

Particularly valuable were the meetings focused on university internationalization, student and staff mobility, as well as opportunities for developing joint educational, scientific and social projects. Although our institutions differ in culture, educational systems and everyday academic realities, it quickly became clear that we share many common goals, values, and ambitions.

One of the most interesting observations from our stay in Brazil concerns international communication. It is estimated that only around 10% of the country's population can communicate effectively in English. Considering that Brazil is home to more than 220 million people, this highlights the scale of the challenge associated with internationalization and the development of global partnerships. It makes us even more appreciative of the fact that, despite language barriers, we were able to establish valuable connections and initiate discussions on concrete initiatives that may be developed together in the future. 🫂

The mobility concluded with a certificate award ceremony and a summary of a week filled with inspiration, new experiences, and international networking. We are returning from Brazil with new ideas, new contacts and a strong belief that international cooperation is not only about signed agreements, but above all about people, relationships, and a shared willingness to create something meaningful together. 🫂

It has been an incredibly valuable experience that will undoubtedly lead to further initiatives between our institutions. We look forward to sharing the outcomes of this cooperation with you very soon.

This mobility was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme.

💙 Obrigado, Brasil! See you again soon! 💚💛

🌎🇧🇷 Erasmus+ without borders!

The Director for Cooperation and Image and the Head of Organizational and Administrative Affairs are proudly representing Powiślańska Academy of Applied Sciences during an Erasmus+ mobility at our partner institution – UFF - Universidade Federal Fluminense.

The first days of the visit have been intensive and full of inspiring experiences. The mobility began with an introduction to the campus and organizational structure of one of Brazil’s largest public universities, meetings with the International Relations Office team, and networking opportunities with academic mobility participants from Ireland and other countries around the world.

An important part of the visit has been discussions on internationalization strategies, best practices in international cooperation, and opportunities for developing future joint initiatives between our institutions. The programme has also provided a valuable opportunity to exchange experiences related to university operations, student support services, and building an engaged academic community. Additionally, a meeting with a representative of the university’s Public Relations Office offered inspiring ideas that may be implemented at PAAS in the future.

As part of the mobility programme, a PAAS representative also delivered a lecture on Sustainable Development and Gender Equality, presenting European experiences and perspectives on these important global challenges.

The main objective of this visit is to further strengthen cooperation with Universidade Federal Fluminense, deepen the relationship between our institutions, and initiate new educational, scientific and social projects.

We believe that international partnerships are one of the best ways to create modern, open and innovative higher education. We wish our representatives continued success throughout the mobility and look forward to the outcomes of this valuable collaboration! 💚
