Łódź English Speaking Club We are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We offer free English Clubs. Tuesdays at 18.30 for Advanced and Intermediate speakers.

Flower. Bloom. Blossom. All three words can be both a noun and a verb. Flower(n) = the reproductive structure found in plants. Flower (v) = process of transition, developing. Bloom = same as flower. Bloom (v) = to produce flowers; to thrive. Blossom (n)= a single flower, especially one that produces fruit like apples or cherries. Blossom (v) = to produce flowers; to mature, impressively (a person or a thing like a business).

I love the flowers that grow here!

On a walk I discovered this snail high up in a bush. It must have taken quite a while to get there. English idioms, “At a snail’s pace” and, “Slow as molasses” describe very slow movement. Also, when you are being very slow because you don’t want to do something, it can be described as “Digging in your heels.” Don’t dig in your heels; come to English Club Tuesday evening at 6:30.
