The Quantum Computing & Particle Physics Research Group of the Department of Physics, Air University, Islamabad, proudly participated in the Quantum Meets AI 2026 Conference, organized by the Faculty of Basic Sciences, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology (GIKI) on 13 July 2026.

Our delegation comprised 3 PhD scholars, 4 MS students, and 2 BS Computational Physics students, who showcased their research through one research poster and four student presentations.

We are delighted to congratulate our outstanding students on their remarkable achievements:
🥈 Mr. Muhammad Sanan Qurashi — Second Position in the Student Research Presentation Competition.
🥉 Mr. Abdul Sattar — Third Position in the Student Research Presentation Competition.

The conference brought together leading researchers and experts in Quantum Computing, Quantum Machine Learning, Post-Quantum Cryptography, Quantum Security, Quantum Architectures, and the integration of Artificial Intelligence with Quantum Technologies. It provided an excellent platform for knowledge exchange, research collaboration, and showcasing the innovative work of our students.

These achievements reflect the growing research excellence and commitment to innovation within the Department of Physics and further strengthen Air University’s presence in emerging areas of quantum technologies
