The Department of Pharmacy at Hazara University Mansehra successfully organized a poster competition themed "Antibiotics Awareness," underscoring the critical need for judicious antibiotic stewardship and enhanced public health literacy. The event was honored by distinguished guests, including Prof. Dr. Inamullah Khan (Dean, Faculty of Biological and Health Sciences), Dr. Muhammad Akhlaq (Chairperson, Department of Pharmacy), Dr. Bilal Ahmed (Senior Drug Inspector), and Dr. Hafeez Ullah (Chief Pharmacist, Khyber Teaching Hospital) as guest speakers and judges.

The judges meticulously evaluated each poster, engaging individually with participating students to assess their scientific comprehension and efforts. Dr. Muhammad Akhlaq, Chairperson and chief organizer, commended the students' enthusiastic participation, delivered insights on rational antibiotic utilization, and acknowledged the unwavering support of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ikramullah Khan, which enabled this impactful initiative.

Dr. Bilal Ahmed addressed the audience, raising awareness on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a burgeoning global threat and drew from his professional expertise to illustrate its implications. Dr. Hafeez Ullah then announced the competition winners.

In the concluding remarks, Prof. Dr. Inamullah Khan praised the students and the Department of Pharmacy for orchestrating this substantive event, advocating for the continued promotion of such awareness programs at Hazara University to foster antimicrobial stewardship.

We are proud to share a remarkable academic achievement of Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah from the Department of Pharmacy, Hazara University, who is one of the editors of the prestigious international book titled “Phytoneutrients in the Treatment of Breast Cancer: Molecular Aspects and Therapeutic Potential.” Published by CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group (United Kingdom), this scholarly work highlights advanced research on the role of phytoneutrients in breast cancer treatment and reflects global scientific collaboration. The book is now available on Amazon, eBay, and other international selling platforms, showcasing the international recognition of our faculty. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ajmal Shah has also received editor’s complimentary copies from the publisher, further acknowledging his valuable contribution. This achievement is not only a matter of pride for Hazara University but also a strong source of motivation for students, demonstrating that dedication, research excellence, and academic vision can lead to global impact. It inspires students to actively engage in research, aim for international publications, and envision themselves as future contributors to global science.
