گورنمنٹ ہائی سکول اوچھالی شاندار تعلیمی روایات کا حامل ایک بہترین ادارہ ہے جو کم و بیش ۱۳۰ سال سے علاقہ وادئ سون کے خوبصورت ترین حصے اوچھالی میں علم کی شمعیں روشن کر رہا ہے۔ اس مادرِ علمی نے جہاں بہت سارے بیوروکریٹس، فوجی آفسران، سیاستدان، اساتذہ کرام پیدا کیے وہیں مختلف شعبہ ہائے زندگی میں خدمات سرانجام دینے والے سپوتوں کی آبیاری بھی کی۔
اِس درسگاہ کی شروعات مورخہ یکم نومبر ۱۸۸۳ء کو منشی تھان چ

ند نے بطور پرائمری سکول کیں جس میں ابتدائی چار جماعتیں پڑھائی جاتی تھیں۔ ۳۱ مارچ ۱۹۲۲ء تک اِس کی یہی حالت رہی۔ یکم مارچ ۱۹۲۲ء کو اِسے لوئر مڈل سکول کا درجہ دے دیا گیا۔ قیامِ پاکستان تک یہ مدرسہ لوئر مڈل رہا لیکن پاکستان بننے کے بعد نئے احکامات کے مطابق اِسے بھی دوسرے مدارس کی طرح پرائمری تک محدود کردیا گیاجہاں پانچویں جماعت تک تعلیم دی جاتی تھی۔ سکول کی توسیع کے لئے ایک متروکہ عمارت ملکیتی لالہ بوٹا رام مورخہ ۱۲ مارچ ۱۹۴۸ء کو بموجب حکم نمبر ۱۲۹۷ مجریہ دفتر تحصیلدار صاحب خوشاب الاٹ ہوئی۔
سکول کی کارکردگی کو دیکھتے ہوئے محکمہ نے اِسے یکم اپریل ۱۸۵۳ء سے ورنیکلر مڈل کا درجہ دے دیا اور پھر یکم اپریل ۱۹۵۶ء سے یہاں انگریزی زبان پڑھانے کی اجازت بھی دے دی گئی۔ انہی دنوں میں اُس وقت کے ڈپٹی کمشنر جناب چوہدری نیاز احمد صاحب اور ڈسٹرکٹ بورڈ کے ناظمِ اعلیٰ جناب سید منظور حسین شاہ صاحب نے ازراہِ کرم متروکہ جگہ تعدادی رقبہ ۱۲۰۸ فٹ بطور کھیل کا میدان الاٹ کر دی۔ جس کے چاروں اطراف چاردیواری تمام اساتذہ کرام نے اپنی مدد آپ کے تحت تعمیر کروائی۔
سکول کی مسلسل بہترین کارکردگی اور اوچھالی کے عوام کی بھرپور کوششوں کے نتیجے میں ۱۶ اپریل ۱۹۷۹ء کو سکولِ ھٰذا کو بطور ہائی سکول اپ گریڈ کر دیا گیا۔ چوہدری محمد بشیر صاحب سکول کے پہلے ہیڈ ماسٹر مقرر ہوئے۔
بعدازاں تعینات ہونے والے ہیڈماسٹرصاحبان میں جناب ملک محمد یوسف صاحب، ملک خیر محمد صاحب، ملک معین الدین صاحب، ملک علی اصغرصاحب، ملک ممتاز احمد صاحب، جناب حاجی میاں محمد صاحب، سابقہ ایگزیکٹوڈسٹرکٹ ایجوکیشن آفیسر ضلع خوشاب جناب سید مظہر حسین شاہ صاحب، جناب حافظ محمد عثمان ملک صاحب، جناب ملک محمد اجمل صاحب اورجناب ملک خالد نعیم صاحب شامل ہیں۔
موجودہ ہیڈ ماسٹر جناب ملک محمد سلطان اکبر اعوان صاحب ہیں جنہوں نے مورخہ ۳۰ جولائی ۲۰۱۶ء کو سکولِ ھٰذا کا چارچ سنبھال کراِسے نئی جدتوں اور اور وسعتوں سے ہمکنار کیا ہے۔ دعا ہے کہ یہ مادرِ علمی نئے ہیڈ ماسٹر صاحب کی کمان میں دن دگنی اور رات چوگنی ترقی کرے اور آنے والے وقت میں اِ س کا شمار صوبہ پنجاب کے بہترین اداروں میں ہو۔ آمین۔ ثم آمین

Today marks the closing of a luminous chapter in the annals of Government High School Uchhali, as Sb lays down the mantle of service after an illustrious 38 years of devoted teaching. His departure is not a mere retirement; it is the quiet culmination of a life consecrated to knowledge, discipline, and the moral awakening of generations.

Sir Sher Muhammad Sb was not confined by the limits of a single subject; his intellect moved freely across the vast landscape of learning. He taught not only with the precision of a scholar but with the tenderness of a sage. As we all know, water is life. It's essential for our survival, and yet, we often take it for granted. At *GHS Uchhali*, we are dedicating this week to raising awareness about the importance of conserving water.
Water scarcity is a growing concern worldwide. Climate change, population growth, and wasteful practices have led to a significant decrease in freshwater resources. If we don't take action, future generations will face severe water shortages.

Conserving water is a collective responsibility. Let's make a pact to reduce our water footprint and protect this precious resource for future generations.
