Today, Sindh University Campus Thatta successfully conducted the Pre-Entry Test for the intake of 2K26 for various undergraduate programs. The test was held in a peaceful and relaxed environment under the careful supervision of our esteemed Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, along with her energetic and dedicated faculty.
The event was organized with great attention to detail, ensuring comfort and support for all applicants. Mineral water and refreshments were provided, and a medical camp, in collaboration with DHO Thatta, was set up to handle any emergencies. Police representatives were also present to ensure safety and security throughout the day.
A huge shoutout to our enthusiastic students who volunteered as guides, playing a crucial role in assisting the candidates and making the entire process smooth and welcoming.
Professor Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi also expressed her gratitude to the SSP Thatta for sending their team, DHO Thatta for their excellent medical support, and the media for their active coverage. She also appreciated the tireless efforts of the faculty, non-teaching staff, and the student volunteers for making this event a grand success!

University of Sindh Campus Thatta Observes Solidarity Day with Pakistan Armed Forces

Thatta – May 12, 2025: The University of Sindh, Thatta Campus, observed Solidarity Day to express staunch support and admiration for the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force. The event was marked by patriotic fervor as faculty members, administrative staff, and students gathered to pay glowing tribute to the armed forces of Pakistan.

The event was led by Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, who emphasized the critical role of Pakistan’s armed forces in protecting the nation’s sovereignty and ensuring peace and stability. She praised their unmatched sacrifices and professionalism in defending the country against all threats.

Participants saluted the bravery and dedication of the Pakistan Air Force Army and Navy, raising slogans of “Pakistan Army Zindabad” and “Pakistan Paindabad” to echo their support. The gathering reflected the strong bond between academia and the guardians of the nation, highlighting the commitment of the University of Sindh to national unity and patriotism.

Prof. Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, along with faculty and staff, reiterated their stance of standing shoulder to shoulder with the armed forces of Pakistan, reaffirming their loyalty and love for the motherland.

The event concluded with prayers for the prosperity, strength, and safety of Pakistan and its armed forces.

The students of BBA 2k24, University of Sindh, Campus Thatta, under the supervision of their course instructor Sir Raja Dahar, organized a meaningful social activity titled "Keep Your Campus Clean and Green."
As part of this initiative, students actively participated in cleaning the parks and corridors of the campus, spreading the message of cleanliness and environmental responsibility. They also installed dustbins at various locations around the campus and placed an instructional board in the Central Park to encourage others to maintain cleanliness.
Hod of English department Dr Asadullah Lashari, Hod of BBA department Dr Ikramuddin Junejo, Ms Uneza, Ms Ayesha khalid and other faculty members also joined hands with the students to support this noble cause. The HoD of English, Dr. Asadullah Lashari, and HoD of BBA, Dr. Ikram Uddin Junejo, addressed the students, emphasizing that such activities significantly contribute to the professional and social growth of students.
The efforts of the students and their instructor were highly appreciated by the Pro Vice Chancellor of Thatta Campus, Professor Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, who acknowledged their commitment to building a cleaner, greener campus.

*33 candidates appeared in Pre-Entry Test-2025 for second phase admissions at SU Thatta Campus*

JAMSHORO: Sindh University Campus Thatta conducted the Pre-Entry Test-2025 for the second phase of admissions on Thursday.

A total of 33 candidates took the test, which was held under the supervision of Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi.

The test was conducted in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring that all candidates had an equal opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge.

PVC Prof. Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi expressed her satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the test and appreciated the efforts of the university staff and administration.

The results of the test will be announced soon and successful candidates will be notified about the next steps in the admission process.

Sindh University Campus Thatta successfully hosted the Comprehensive Viva and thesis submission of Final Year Students of English Language & Literature and the Final Year Project Exhibition of Computer Science. The event showcased the hard work, dedication, and academic excellence of the graduating students.

Prof. Dr. Fatah Soomro joined as the external examiner for English, while Dr. Sharif served as the external examiner for Computer Science. Dr. Asadullah Lashari, Head of the English Department, and Dr. Waheed Jatoi, Head of the Computer Science Department, acted as internal examiners for their respective disciplines.

National Women’s Day Celebrated at Sindh University Campus Thatta
Thatta, February 12, 2025 – The University of Sindh Campus, Thatta, vibrated with enthusiasm as National Women’s Day was celebrated with great zeal. The event marked the third seminar in the Awareness Seminar Series at University of Sindh Campus Thatta, fostering empowerment and awareness on gender-related issues.
The ceremony was presided over by the Vice Chancellor, University of Sindh, Jamshoro Prof. Dr. Khalil ur Rehman Khoumbati, who highlighted the importance of gender equality and the vital role of women in society. In his address, he also urged students to embrace a habit of extensive book reading instead of relying solely on digital tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek, underscoring the timeless value of traditional scholarship. He encouraged students to learn deeply and compete the worldwide.

The event began with a warm welcome speech by Pro Vice Chancellor, Sindh University Campus Thatta, Prof. Dr. Misbah Bibi Qureshi, who extended heartfelt greetings to the Vice Chancellor, all faculty members, students, and guests. She emphasized the significance of the day and reiterated the university’s steadfast commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment.

Sindh University Campus Thatta Hosts Successful Recruitment Drive with the collaboration of Soneri Bank Ltd

Thatta, November 18, 2024 – The Sindh University Campus Thatta proudly organized a highly successful Recruitment Drive, bringing together Regional Management of Soneri Bank Ltd, including Mr. Irshad Ali Chachar - Regional General Manager, Mr. Chetan Permanand Rajput - Regional Head Branch Operations, and Mr. Kesar Khan Jatoi - Regional Sales Manager.

They interviewed the talented graduates of the campus for the positions of Branch Services Officers and Relationship Manager with the providence of guidelines for further selection process. The event held at the campus provided a dynamic platform for students to explore career opportunities and connect with one of the top banking organizations.

At the end, Mr. Hassan Ali decorated Sindhi Ajrak to esteemed guests by following the cultural patterns. Mr. Hassan has appreciated the efforts of Regional Management of SBL and highlighted the need for such events for the students in the future.
