Just got back from an incredible 3-day workshop on Small and Sick Newborn Care (SSNC) in Peshawar Barracks! 🤩

From December 4th to 6th, 2025, healthcare professionals from all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province came together to learn and share best practices in newborn care. It was an honor to have Prof. Dr. Sajjad Ur Rehman and Asstt Prof. Dr. Inayat Ullah from the Deptt of Paediatrics and Neonatology Gajju khan Medical College Swabii as facilitators!

Thanks to all the participants for their dedication to improving newborn care in our province. Let's keep working together to give our little ones the best start in life!
The workshop held under the joint collaboration of Health Department, KP UNICEF Pakistan and PPA KPK .

A woman in Swabi has given birth to four children at the same time at Bacha Khan Medical Complex. According to hospital spokesperson Rahim Khan, the newborns include two boys and two girls. Both the mother and the babies are reported to be in good health, and the family belongs to the village of Saleem Khan.

Dr. Inayatullah, in charge of the Neonatal Care Unit, confirmed that the delivery took place without any operation and was a normal birth. He stated that all four babies are healthy and stable.

The father, Maqsood Ali, expressed his happiness over the birth of four children at once and thanked the hospital administration and doctors for their care and support.

(صوابی میں ایک جوڑے کے ہاں 4 بچوں کی پیدائش) صوابی:باچاخان میڈیکل کمپلیکس شاہ منصور میں سلیم خان سے تعلق رکھنے والے ایک جوڑے کے ہاں بیک وقت چار بچوں کی پیدائش ہوئی ہے۔ ترجمان بی کے ایم سی کے مطابق بچوں میں دو بیٹے اور دو بیٹیاں شامل ہیں جبکہ ماں اور تمام بچے صحت مند ہیں۔انچارج نیونٹل کیئر یونٹ ڈاکٹر عنایت اللہ نے بتایا کہ بچوں کی پیدائش بغیر آپریشن نارمل ڈیلیوری کے تحت ہوئی، جس کے بعد چاروں بچوں کو 21 روز تک انتہائی نگہداشت یونٹ (NICU) میں خصوصی دیکھ بھال فراہم کی گئی۔ ان کے مطابق بچے اب ایک ماہ کے ہو چکے ہیں اور مکمل طور پر صحت یاب ہیں۔بچوں کے والد مقصود علی نے خوشی کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایک ساتھ چار بچوں کی پیدائش ان کے لیے بڑی نعمت ہے۔ انہوں نے بی کے ایم سی انتظامیہ، ڈاکٹروں اور پیرا میڈیکل اسٹاف کا خصوصی شکریہ بھی ادا کیا۔(ڈاکٹر امجدعلی صوابی نامہ نیوز).

On the directions of President PPA KP Dr. Syed Bawar Shah, and Chairman Pediatrics and Neonatology MTI-Bacha Khan Medical Complex Swabi Prof. Sajjad Ur Rehman a neonatal team led by Dr. Waqar and Dr. Muhammad Haris visited District Buner DHQ NICU. Dr. Azam, in-charge of NICU, briefed them, and a report will be presented to PPA KPK for further improvement and any facilitation possible.
