On the final day of the visit, the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) team presented their future plans and outlined the key steps for establishing the Aror Learning Institute (ALI). The visit concluded with the Vice Chancellor of Aror University presenting souvenirs to the guests in appreciation of their valuable contributions. Both teams expressed their commitment to further strengthening collaboration and working together toward shared institutional goals.

The second day of the LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) team’s visit featured a productive focus group discussion with Aror University’s faculty members and students. The session provided meaningful insights into the existing teaching and learning environment, explored diverse pedagogical practices, and identified key areas requiring further development. These conversations play an essential role in shaping future initiatives aimed at improving academic quality across the university.

Following the discussions, the LLI team conducted a strategic planning session with university leadership, faculty representatives, and the ALI staff. This session focused on addressing the previously identified gaps and outlining practical, actionable strategies for improvement. The visiting team also presented the future roadmap for the Aror Learning Institute (ALI), marking a significant milestone in building a strong and sustainable collaboration.

The session concluded with remarks from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, who reflected on the purpose and long-term vision of establishing the Aror Learning Institute. He reiterated the university’s commitment to advancing teaching and learning excellence through continuous collaboration and innovation.

Day 1 Highlights

The LUMS Learning Institute (LLI) team began their three-day visit to Aror University Sukkur with a Pulse Check Activity conducted alongside the university’s leadership and the Aror Learning Institute (ALI) team.

The session opened with a welcome address from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Zahid Hussain Khand, who emphasized the strengthening collaboration between ALI and LLI. Director HR, Mr. Shoukat Abbasi, also shared updates on ALI’s progress and ongoing initiatives.

The visiting LLI delegation — Dr. Hammad (Director, LLI), Dr. Qasim, and Ms. Minahil Gillani — actively participated in the discussions. The Pulse Check Activity, led by Ms. Minahil Gillani, focused on identifying institutional strengths, gaps, and opportunities for enhancing teaching and learning at Aror University.

In the second engagement of Day 1, the LLI team conducted a Values Workshop aimed at defining the core values that will guide ALI’s development. University leadership, ALI staff, and faculty members contributed to thoughtful conversations on the values and behaviors essential for shaping ALI’s culture and advancing teaching and learning excellence across the university.

The visit represents an important milestone in the growing partnership between Aror Learning Institute (ALI) and LUMS Learning Institute (LLI), reaffirming a shared commitment to quality education and institutional growth.
