Art and Craft Event Held at GCE Sukkur

A remarkable Art and Craft event was held at GCE Sukkur today. Faculty members and student-teachers participated in large numbers.
The special guest of the event was Shafique Ahmed Rind, Regional Director Colleges Sukkur, who honoured the event with his presence. Local media also covered the event.
Student-teachers presented tableaux, speeches, Naat recitations, and stage performances. The program began with the Tilawat of the Holy Qur’an. Muhammad Siddiqui of the 3rd semester recited verses from the Holy Qur’an.
Shields and accolades were presented to the guests. Appreciation certificates were also distributed among students in recognition of their contribution and participation. Their hard work and commitment made the event successful.
“Culture is the identity of a nation. It is the responsibility of the people to preserve culture through art and by maintaining cultural values,” said Attaullah Samejo, the worthy principal of the college. Addressing the audience, he highlighted the significance of art and craft. He appreciated the efforts of the student-teachers and their mentor, Sumaiya, who guided them throughout the process of organizing the event. She also assisted the student-teachers in making drawings and painting on canvas.
Ms. Sumaiya, a lecturer at the college, worked diligently to accomplish the assigned tasks within the stipulated time. “Her team deserves praise and honour,” said Mr. Samejo.
The honourable Regional Director, Sahfique Ahmed Rind, praised the efforts of Principal Attaullah Samejo and assured his support for the cause of education at the college. He also appreciated the efforts of Ms. Sumaiya and her student-teachers. He said, “Cultural sensitivity can be promoted through art, and GCE has made a meritorious effort in this regard.” He further stressed the need to promote art and craft and said that more such events should be organized in the future.
Abdul Ghani Soomro, honourable principal of Government Elementary College of Education Sukkur, was also a distinguished guest at the event.
Amjad Ali Channa, worthy principal of Government Physical College of Education Sukkur, also attended the event as an honourable guest.
The honourable guests expressed their joy and encouraged the organizers for their commendable efforts.
