Winter Study Center Boys High School Tisar 2025 Successfully Concludes
The Winter Study Center 2025, held at Boys High School Tisar, successfully concluded with a grand closing ceremony after an intensive two-month academic journey. The program aimed to provide students with educational support and help them prepare for the annual examinations.
Background of the Winter Study Center
To facilitate students in preparing for their annual exams, a special Winter Study Center was organized at Boys High School. This initiative not only provided quality educational facilities but also focused on the overall personality development of students. The center operated for two months (January–February 2025), offering structured teaching and study sessions daily.
Educational Activities and Curriculum
The Winter Study Center included the following academic activities:
Subject Preparation: Special focus was given to key subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, and Urdu.
Weekly Tests: Students' performance was assessed through weekly tests, and guidance was provided based on their results.
Preparation Based on SLOs (Student Learning Outcomes): The curriculum was aligned with Federal Board standards to enhance students' performance and prepare them according to modern educational requirements.
Group Study: Students were given the opportunity to engage in group study, encouraging discussion and collaborative learning.
Teacher Guidance: Expert teachers guided students and familiarized them with exam techniques.
Efforts of Teachers and Headmaster Mehdi Ali Mahmoodi
The success of this study center was largely due to the dedication of the teachers, who worked tirelessly to support the students. Particularly, Headmaster Mehdi Ali Mahmoodi’s leadership and relentless efforts were commendable. He not only managed administrative affairs efficiently but also provided an exemplary academic environment for the students.
Contributions of Education Fellows and Aga Khan University
Aga Khan University played a significant role in this initiative by providing special training to Education Fellows. These fellows contributed immensely to students' academic growth through their expertise and modern teaching methods. Their dedication and professional training ensured that students received high-quality educational support, leading to significant improvements in their academic performance. The training provided by Aga Khan University helped both teachers and Education Fellows adapt to modern educational demands, making the teaching process more effective and result-oriented.
Residential and Extracurricular Activities
Since students stayed at the school 24/7, various extracurricular activities were also arranged for their well-being:
Health & Fitness: Daily morning exercises and sports sessions were organized.
Mental Development: Seminars and motivational lectures were conducted on different topics.
Religious & Moral Training: Special sessions were arranged to enhance students’ moral and religious values.
Closing Ceremony and Results
At the end of this two-month journey, a grand closing ceremony was held, attended by students, teachers, parents, and esteemed guests. The event recognized students who performed exceptionally well and appreciated the efforts of teachers.
Outcomes and Impact
The Deputy Director of Education (Shigar) visited the Winter Study Center and praised the arrangements, expressing satisfaction with students’ learning achievements. He also shared valuable insights.
Additionally, the Coordinator of Education Fellows, Mr. Nasir Hussain, assigned two Education Fellows to support the program, for which we are deeply grateful.
Following this intensive two-month educational program, significant improvements were observed in students’ academic performance. Their confidence increased, and their exam preparation was completed in a more effective manner. Teachers and parents acknowledged the program’s success, particularly highlighting the benefits of SLO-based teaching, which contributed to better learning outcomes and stronger exam performance.
Conclusion
The Winter Study Center 2025 proved to be a successful academic initiative, marking a milestone in students’ educational development. The program provided students with an enhanced learning environment, equipping them with the skills needed for exam success. Plans are in place to continue this initiative in an even better manner in the coming years.
