GILGIT-BALTISTAN EDUCATIONAL ENDOWMENT FUND STIPEND FORM ACADEMIC FOR THE STUDENTS OF DAE/ F.A. / F.SC / BA / ADA / ADS / B.ED HON / BS-EDU / MEDICAL / ENGINEERING (EACH lEVEL)
Eligibility Criteria

Have a Gilgit-Baltistan domicile.
Last passed annual examination (current result)
Passed these examinations through a Government institution.
Students nominated by the GB Directorate are also eligible.
Intermediate (HSSC-I & II) and DAE (I, II & III) in public sector colleges under the Higher Education Department, GB.
BS and ADP students in public sector colleges of GB.
Students from GB nominated through the Higher Education Department GB, who are enrolled in Intermediate, ADP, MBBS, BDS, DVM, Agriculture, Pharm-D, Law, Engineering, and general BS programs at recognized universities and institutions across Pakistan—including local colleges/universities of GB—as well as students admitted on a merit basis to reputed public sector universities/institutions, are eligible
Minimum CGPA / Annual Exam Percentage requirements for scholarship: Public Sector Universities/Colleges (≥ 70% equivalent CGPA for Sciences and ≥ 70% equivalent CGPA for Arts) Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges (≥ 70%) in annual exams Selection of merit criteria

Gilgit-Baltistan Rural Support Programme (GBRSP), in partnership with the School Education Department, Government of Gilgit-Baltistan (SED), invites applications to fill the following internship positions under the project titled “Student Internship Program for Fresh Graduates of GB.” The internship program will provide opportunities to 127 fresh science-background graduates, who will be placed in public sector schools across all ten (10) districts of Gilgit-Baltistan. Selection of graduates will be made on the basis of district-wise quota and requirements in public sector schools across GB. گندم ڈپو گنوخ، ضلع کھرمنگ میں سنگین صورتحال

باڈر ایریا گنوخ میں واقع سرکاری گندم ڈپو کا فرش شدید ٹوٹ پھوٹ کا شکار ہے، جس کے باعث فرش مسلسل نمی سے تر رہتا ہے۔ اس نمی کی وجہ سے گندم خراب ہو رہی ہے اور عوام کو ناقص اور غیر معیاری گندم فراہم کی جا رہی ہے۔ مزید برآں، ٹوٹے ہوئے فرش کی وجہ سے چوہوں کی بھرمار ہے۔ چوہے نہ صرف گندم کی بوریوں کو کاٹ رہے ہیں بلکہ اپنی مینگنی گندم میں ملا رہے ہیں، جو انسانی صحت کے لیے انتہائی خطرناک ہے۔
یاد رہے کہ پچھلے چند مہینوں میں عوام کو جو گندم فراہم کی گئی وہ کھانے کے قابل نہیں تھی۔ اس صورتحال پر گنوخ کے ایک نوجوان نے اپنے ذاتی سوشل میڈیا اکاؤنٹ کے ذریعے احتجاج کیا، جس کے بعد CSO اور متعلقہ محکمہ حرکت میں آئے اور وقتی نوٹس لیا گیا۔ لیکن افسوسناک امر یہ ہے کہ ڈپو کے رکھوالے (جو سرکاری ملازم بھی نہیں ہیں) کو اس بنیاد پر سخت ڈانٹ ڈپٹ کا نشانہ بنایا گیا کہ یہ معاملہ سوشل میڈیا پر کیوں اٹھایا گیا۔
ہم واضح کرنا چاہتے ہیں کہ CSO اور متعلقہ محکمہ کو یہ حق حاصل نہیں کہ وہ احتجاج کرنے والوں یا کمزور ملازمین کو ہراساں کریں۔ اصل ذمہ داری نظام کو درست کرنے، ڈپو کے فرش کی فوری مرمت، نمی کے خاتمے، باقاعدہ پیسٹ کنٹرول اور عوام کو معیاری گندم کی فراہمی کو یقینی بنانے کی ہے۔ عوامی مسائل کو دبانے کے بجائے ان کا حل نکالا جانا چاہیے۔
مزید یہ کہ سخت موسمی حالات کے باعث گنوخ سمیت دیگر علاقوں سے لوگ عارضی طور پر شہروں کی طرف ہجرت کرتے ہیں۔ ایسی صورت میں ان کے باقی ماندہ گندم کوٹے میں کمی کرنے کی بات کی جا رہی ہے، حالانکہ لوگوں کو گندم کی اشد ضرورت ہے۔ لہٰذا گندم کوٹے میں کسی قسم کی کمی ہرگز قابلِ قبول نہیں۔ جو گندم بچی ہوئی ہے اسے شفاف طریقے سے مستحق اور ضرورت مند عوام میں تقسیم کیا جائے تاکہ کسی قسم کی حق تلفی نہ ہو۔
متعلقہ حکام سے مطالبہ ہے کہ فوری عملی اقدامات کرتے ہوئے ڈپو کی مرمت، ذخیرہ اندوزی کے نظام کی بہتری اور کوٹے کی منصفانہ تقسیم کو یقینی بنایا جائے، تاکہ عوام میں پائی جانے والی بے چینی ختم ہو اور کسی ناخوشگوار صورتحال سے بچا جا سکے۔
