Skardovians Gilgit Chapter Hosts Iftar Dinner to Bid Farewell to Major Zia ur Rehman and Welcome Lt Cdr Liaqat Hussain

Gilgit – March 15, 2025

The Skardovians Gilgit Chapter organized a special Iftar dinner at Leopards Lounge, Gilgit, to honor Major Zia ur Rehman on his farewell and to warmly welcome Lt Cdr Liaqat Hussain. The event saw an enthusiastic gathering of ex-cadets from the 1st to 11th entries of Cadet College Skardu, reflecting the strong bond shared by the Skardovian fraternity.

During the gathering, participants discussed the importance of establishing a formal alumni association and expanding the cabinet of the Gilgit Chapter to enhance coordination and engagement among ex-cadets. They reiterated the significance of such gatherings in fostering unity, networking, and collective progress.

The attendees expressed their commitment to staying connected and actively contributing to the strengthening of the Skardovian community. The event concluded on a high note, with a shared resolve to organize similar gatherings in the future and work towards a structured alumni platform

مورخہ ٧ ستمبر کو گلگت لیپرڈز لاونج میں پائنیر انٹری کے میجر ملک ضیاء، ڈاکٹر بہادر شاہ اور انجینیئر میثم قاسمی کی قیادت میں ایک تقریب کا انعقاد کیا گیا جس میں گلگت بلتستان کے تینوں ڈیویژنز کے کیڈٹ کالج سکردو سے فارغ التحصیل طلباء نے اپنے سابقہ ایڈجوٹنٹ کرنل ریٹائرڈ یونس کے اعزاز میں عشائیہ کا اہتمام کیا-

ریٹائرڈ کرنل یونس کیڈٹ کالج سکردو کے پائنیر ایڈجوٹنٹس میں شمار ہوتے ہیں - انہوں نے 2003 سے 2006 تک کیڈٹ کالج سکردو میں پرنسپل بریگیڈیئر تاج اقبال کے شانہ بشانہ کیڈس کی ہر طرح کی تربیت کی اور انکے روش مستقبل کے لیے ذہن سازی میں اپنا قلیدی کردار ادا کیا -

تقریب میں کرنل ریٹائرڈ یونس کو روایتی ٹوپی اور شاٹی کا تحفہ بھی پیش کیا گیا ، انکی خدمات کو سراہا گیا اور سکردوینز کے اتحاد و اتفاق اور اکھٹ کو تقویت بخشنے کا عہد کیا گیا -

تقریب میں سکردوینز کی باقاعدہ تنظیم سازی کی گئی جس کے تحت ڈاکٹر شہزاد عارف ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر لائیو سٹاک ہنزہ کو کنوینئر اور ڈرگ انسپکٹر گلگت اکرام الدین کو سیکریٹری الومنائی گلگت ریجن مقرر کیا-

چونکہ کیڈٹ کالج سکردو کے کیڈٹس گلگت بلتستان کے ہر ادارے میں اپنی خدمات سر انجام دے رہے ہیں اس لیے انکی باہمی مشاورت سے گلگت بلتستان کی ترقی میں اپنا کردار ادا کرنے کے عزم کا اظہار کیا گیا-

ASP Awais Ali Khan of Police Service of Pakistan (PSP) receives award from Minister Interior Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed for best Physical Training on the occasion of Passing Out Prade of 23rd Initial Command Course held at National Police Academy, Islamabad.

Hailing from Gilgit, Awais Ali Khan has successfully completed the 18 months training called Specialsed Training Program (STP) with distinction.

Cadets of Cadet College Skardu are not only good at studies but also in physical exercises.Awais is one of those who proved that in various physical trainings.

Cadet College Skardu continues its legacy of excellence in quality education in Gilgit-Baltistan.

A proud moment for Skardovians as one of the alumni Cadet Asif Mehmood 3rd Entry qualified CSS exam and placed in IRS department.

He is an engineer and served in Telecom sector before applying for CSS.We wish him best of luck for his future assignments.

Two Skardovians Zahid Hussain and Waqas Johar have been selected among a distinguished group of people from across Pakistan and were given the title of *Pride of Pakistan* on 23rd March parade . Mr zahid is an Entrepreneur working in South Korea. He is also cultural ambassador of Pakistan to Korea and also very active at various social platforms in Korea and Mr Waqas Johar is Currently serving as Assistant Commissioner Shigar ,GB. He has been working in environmental conservation and ecotourism in GB .

Today 13/3/2021 , a group of alumni of Cadet College Skardu visited Cadet College skardu and met with worthy principal sab and respected faculty members . Cadet College Skardu is one of the prestigious institutions in Gilgit-Baltistan. It has produced some of the finest brains and leaders in every field . Today , alumni of this prestigious institution are leading various government organizations as well as private sector and in foreign countries .
