اسکردو، یونیورسٹی آف بلتستان – بلتستان لٹریری سوسائٹی، شعبہ زبان و ثقافتی مطالعات، یونیورسٹی آف بلتستان کے زیر اہتمام ایک شاندار بین الشعبہ نعتیہ مقابلہ منعقد کیا گیا، جس میں مختلف شعبہ جات کے طلبہ نے بھرپور شرکت کی اور اپنے عقیدت بھرے جذبات کا اظہار کیا۔

پروگرام کا آغاز تلاوتِ قرآن پاک سے ہوا، جس نے محفل کو نورانی ماحول عطا کیا۔ اس کے بعد بلتستان لٹریری سوسائٹی کے صدر، جناب محمد آصف جاوید نے معزز ججز، فیکلٹی ممبران، شرکاء اور سامعین کو خوش آمدید کہا۔ اپنے خطاب میں انہوں نے رمضان المبارک کی برکتوں کا ذکر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایسے مقابلے نہ صرف عشقِ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اظہار کا ذریعہ بنتے ہیں بلکہ ایمان اور روحانی عقیدت میں اضافے کا بھی سبب بنتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ اس مقابلے کا بنیادی مقصد طلبہ کو اپنی صلاحیتوں کو نکھارنے اور اپنی عقیدت کا اظہار کرنے کا ایک شاندار موقع فراہم کرنا ہے۔

مقابلے کے آغاز کے ساتھ ہی مختلف شعبہ جات کے طلبہ نے انتہائی محبت اور عقیدت سے نعتیں پیش کیں، جن کی گونج نے سامعین کے دلوں میں عشقِ مصطفیٰ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی شمع مزید روشن کر دی۔ مقابلے کے ججز گلگت بلتستان کی مشہور وائس اکیڈمی سے مدعو کیے گئے تھے، جنہوں نے نہایت باریک بینی سے شرکاء کی کارکردگی کا جائزہ لیا۔

مہمانِ خصوصی، جناب ذیشان مہدی نے اس بابرکت محفل کو سراہتے ہوئے کہا کہ ایسی ادبی و روحانی سرگرمیاں طلبہ کی شخصیت اور ایمان کو مضبوط کرنے میں اہم کردار ادا کرتی ہیں۔ انہوں نے طلبہ کو ادبی و مذہبی سرگرمیوں میں بڑھ چڑھ کر حصہ لینے کی تلقین کی اور منتظمین کا شکریہ ادا کیا کہ انہوں نے یونیورسٹی کے طلبہ کے لیے ایسا خوبصورت پلیٹ فارم فراہم کیا۔

پروگرام کے آخر میں شعبہ زبان و ثقافتی مطالعات کے پروفیسر عبد الرحمان میر نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کرتے ہوئے طلبہ کی شاندار کارکردگی کو سراہا اور منتظمین کی محنت کی تعریف کی۔

آخر میں ججز نے نتائج کا اعلان کیا اور پانچ بہترین نعت خواں طلبہ کو منتخب کیا، جو "سالانہ عید ملن پارٹی" کے موقع پر فائنل راؤنڈ میں حصہ لیں گے۔

یہ بابرکت مقابلہ عشقِ رسول صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم، روحانی عقیدت، اور ادبی خوبصورتی کا ایک بہترین امتزاج تھا، جو سامعین کے دلوں پر دیرپا نقوش چھوڑ گیا۔

اسکالرشپ کی تقسیم کا عمل شفاف طریقے سے مکمل ہوا، جس میں انٹرویوز کا انعقاد کیا گیا۔ انٹرویوز میں یونیورسٹی آف بلتستان کے پروفیسرز، بلتستان لٹریری سوسائٹی کے صدر و ممبران، اور نیکسٹ پلانرز کے اساتذہ نے اہم کردار ادا کیا۔

اس پروگرام کے لیے نیکسٹ پلانرز کی مدد سے طلباء کی مالی مشکلات کم کرنے کی کوشش کی گئی۔

اسکالرشپ پروگرام میں یونیورسٹی آف بلتستان کے ساتھ ساتھ پبلک سکول اینڈ کالج اور ویمن ڈگری کالج کے طلباء کو بھی شامل کیا گیا۔ اس اقدام کو طلباء اور والدین کی جانب سے بے حد سراہا گیا۔

طلباء نے اس اسکالرشپ پروگرام کو تعلیم کے فروغ کے لیے ایک بہترین اقدام قرار دیا اور نیکسٹ پلانرز اور بلتستان لٹریری سوسائٹی یونیورسٹی آف بلتستان کا شکریہ ادا کیا۔

یہ پروگرام تعلیمی میدان میں نیکسٹ پلانرز کی سنجیدگی اور طلباء کی مدد کے لیے ان کی خدمات کا منہ بولتا ثبوت ہے۔

جولائی کا مہینہ، تپتی ہوئی تیز دھوپ حالت روزہ اور پیاس کی شدت سے بے حال ایک جوان شہر کی گہما گہمی سے بلکل بے خبر۔۔۔۔۔۔۔ دور کسی بستی میں کھیتوں میں کام کام کرتے کرتے پسینے سے شرابور۔۔۔۔۔۔ جھلستی گرمی میں بھی اس نوجوان کے چہرے سے چھلکتی تازگی ، آنکھوں میں سجائے خواب اور اس خواب کی تکمیل کیلئے نوجوان کا جذبہ دوسروں کیلئے قابل رشک تھی۔۔۔لیکن خلاف معمول وہ آج تھوڑا اداس بھی تھا کیونکہ اگلے روز اس نے شہر کی طرف رختِ سفر باندھنا تھا۔ بارہ سالہ تعلیمی دورانیہ مکمل کرنے کے بعد حصولِ علم کیلئے شہر کی طرف یہ اسکا پہلا سفر تھا۔ دوپہر کے وقت جب سورج فلک سے زمیں پر آگ برسا رہی تھی تو وہ تھوڑی دیر سستانے کیلئے کھیتوں کے ساتھ بنی کچے مکان کے ایک کونے میں جا کے آرام کرتا ہے۔ دورانِ آرام اسکا دل و دماغ اسے ماضی کے جھڑکوں میں دھکیل دیتا ہے، وہ گلیوں میں گلی ڈنڈا کھیلنا، تو کبھی دوستوں کے ساتھ چھپن چھپائی کھیلتے ہوئے چھپ کے گھر کو بھاگ جانا،تو کبھی صبح لڑائی کر کے شام کو پھر اسی دوست کے ساتھ کرکٹ فٹبال کھیلنا، کبھی شام کے وقت اپنی محبوبہ کی ایک جھلک دیکھنے کا منظر، وہ دیہاتی پیار جو ایک دوسرے کو دور سے دیکھ کر دن بھر اسی ایک نظر میں گزار دینا، تو کبھی گھر میں بہن بھائیوں کے درمیان ہونے والی ہنگامہ آرائیاں۔ وہ ماں کی ہاتھوں کا کھانا تو باپ کا شفقت، کبھی گاؤں کے سنگلاخ پہاڑیوں پر چڑھ کر کے ٹو فتح والی احساس تو کبھی دوستوں کے ساتھ بھیڑ بکریاں چرانا۔ غرض کہ ایک ہی لمحے میں گویا وہ خیالوں میں جوانی سے اچانک ایک شرارتی بچہ بن گیا ہو۔ حسیں یادوں کا نہ تھمنے والا ایک طوفان امڈ ایا تھا۔ یک لخت کسی شناسا آواز نے اسے چونکا دیا۔ وہ اسکا تایا ابو تھا۔
"ارمان بیٹا تم ابھی تک سو رہے ہو، وقت دیکھو ذرا کیا بج رہا ہے۔ جلدی کام ختم کرو۔ہمیں آج عصر سے پہلے گھر جانا ہوگا۔تم کل جا رہے ہو، رشتہ داروں سے بھی ملنا ہے اور ابھی کیلئے سامان کا بھی بندوبست کرنا ہے۔"
ارمان کے نوکیا موبائل سکرین پر وقت ٹھیک دوپہر 2 بج رہا تھا۔ وہ جلدی سے اٹھا اور بقایا کام ختم کیا۔ اتنے میں تایا ابو بھی وہاں آتا ہے اور ارمان سامان سمیٹ کر گھر کی جانب تیز تیز قدموں کے ساتھ چل پڑتا ہے۔۔۔۔۔جا ری ہے۔

Historical Election of Baltistan Literary Society, University of Baltistan Skardu held today.

In a momentous event, the Baltistan Literary Society at the University of Baltistan Skardu recently conducted its first-ever election for the positions of President and General Secretary. The election was held under the watchful eye of the Election Commission, with Dr. Muhammad Riaz as the notable supervisor.

Najmul Hasan Syed emerged as the winner of the election for the position of President, securing a majority of the votes and gaining the trust of the student body. Meanwhile, Effat Zahra secured her victory as the General Secretary with a majority of the votes, showcasing the enthusiasm and support she received from the student community.

Moreover, the electoral process, conducted under the guidance of the Election Commission, was highly praised for its efficiency and effectiveness. Notable individuals involved in the supervision of the election included Mr. Nasir Abbas, Campus Director, Mr. Muhammad Hasan Muhammadi, Mr. AR Mir, Mr. Naseem Hasrat, Mr. Manzoor Ameen(alumnus), Mr. Muhammad Ali, Mr Hasnain Haider, Mr. Arif(alumnus), Mr Muzaffar Abbas, Mr Mazahir Hussain (Env), Mr Ahmed Jawahir (Business Mgt), Syed Mohsin Ali(Edu), and other dedicated members. Their efforts contributed to a smoothly run and fair election.

Furthermore, the presidential candidates, Najmul Hasan Syed, Mr. Saqib, Mr. Malik Sarfaraz, and Miss Sumaya Zahra, expressed their gratitude to the Election Commission and the governing body for successfully managing the electoral process. Thesis Defense Showcases Remarkable Research at UoBS Sundus Campus

The Young Researchers of the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies Successfully defended their theses.

The External Examiners appreciated the efforts made by the research scholars and the faculty for the dedications in exploring the indigenous literature of Gilgit Baltistan in the academia.

Furthermore, the Dean Faculty of Education and Humanities Prof Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Shah, the HoD Dept of Languages and Cultural Studies Dr Muhammad Issa, the external examiners and the faculty members attended the sessions.

Moreover, the University of Baltistan Skardu (UoBS) Sundus Campus witnessed a captivating exhibition of academic excellence as four students successfully defended their theses, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. The diverse range of research topics and the depth of analysis displayed during the thesis defense left the academic community impressed.

Furthermore, Maryam Fatima, presented thesis on "Discursive Meaning in Narrative Discourse: A Deconstructive Analysis of The Reluctant Fundamentalist supervised by Mr Naseem Hasrat. She explored the discursive meaning in the Reluctant Fundamentalist. Maryam Fatima, pursuing a BS Degree in English Linguistics and Literature, embarked on a challenging journey to dissect the discursive meaning within the narrative discourse of "The Reluctant Fundamentalist." Under the guidance of Mr. Naseem Hasrat, a dedicated lecturer at UoBS. She investigated deep into the layers of this thought-provoking work. Dr. Sabir Hussain, Assistant Professor at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), assumed the role of External Examiner, ensuring the rigor and depth of the research work presented and defended.

Moreover, Perveen Ali defended her thesis on "Exploration of Myth in Kesar, the son of god supervised by Dr Muhammad Issa. Her research journey focused on unraveling the concept of myth within the realm of reality, applying Northrop Frye's theory to the work "Kesar, the son of god" by Syed Abbas Kazmi. Dr. Muhammad Essa as her guiding light, Perveen Ali's work was examined by Dr. Ahmed Nadeem, serving as the External Examiner. This exploration of myth in literature promises to shed light on the intricacies of storytelling and cultural symbolism.

Furthermore, Nazia Batool defended her thesis on "Sociological and Cultural Implications of Folk Tales: A Case Study of Shina supervised by Dr Muhammad Issa. Her research venture sought to uncover the sociological and cultural implications embedded in Shina folk tales. Under the mentorship of Dr. Muhammad Essa, the Head of the Department of Languages and Cultural Studies at UoBS, her study holds great significance in the research community. Her work addresses the dearth of research in this area, promising to enrich our understanding of Shina society's oral traditions. The examination of her thesis was conducted by the distinguished Prof. Dr. Sahibzada Ahmed Nadeem, Associate Professor at Postgraduate College Ambala Sargodha.

Furthermore, Syeda Noreen Kazmi defended her thesis on "Thematic Analysis of Balti Folksongs. Her research journey investigated into the heart of Balti culture, offering a thematic analysis of selected Balti folksongs. Under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Essa, her study applied Jhonny Saldana's model and thematic analysis to uncover the core elements within these folk songs. Dr. Ahmed Nadeem served as the External Examiner, ensuring the integrity and quality of her research.

In a nutshell, the thesis defense session was a testament to the dedication and intellectual rigor of these budding scholars. Their research topics covered a wide spectrum of literary and cultural themes, and the guidance of their mentors and the scrutiny of external examiners ensured the academic excellence of their work. This event not only celebrates the achievements of these students but also highlights the thriving academic environment at UoBS Sundus Campus, where intellectual exploration knows no bounds.

- Short Story: A brief, self-contained narrative focusing on one or a few characters and a single incident.
- Novella: A shorter prose narrative than a novel, but longer than a short story.
