Report on Culture Day Celebrations at Government Girls College (GGC) Kamber

Government Girls College (GGC) Kamber successfully hosted its annual Culture Day celebration on December 9, 2025. The event, held under the excellent guidance and supervision of the Honourable Principal, Professor Amber Buriro, was a resounding success, effectively showcasing the vibrant cultural heritage of the region and fostering a spirit of community and academic engagement among the students and staff.
The celebration was graced by the presence of esteemed dignitaries, who served as the Chief Guests:
Respected Regional Director Colleges, Larkana: Mr. Altaf Hussain Abro
Deputy Director Colleges: Mr. Aqeel Ahmed Lakhair.
The ceremony commenced with a moment of spiritual reflection, featuring the Recitation of the Holy Quran and the presentation of Naat-e-Rasool-e-Khuda (P.B.U.H.), setting a solemn and respectful tone for the day.
The Chief Guests, Mr. Altaf Hussain Abro and Mr. Aqeel Ahmed Lakhair, were formally welcomed by the Principal and the faculty. This was followed by a heartfelt Welcome Speech delivered by a student, expressing gratitude for the guests' presence and outlining the significance of the celebrations of Cultural Day.
This was followed by a soulful rendition of a folk song which entertained the audience. A beautifully choreographed Tableau performance depicted key aspects of the local culture and history, demonstrating the students' creativity and dramatic talent.
An engaging Quiz Competition was also held, testing the students' knowledge on various subjects and general awareness, adding an academic layer to the festivities.
The event concluded with a significant Award Ceremony. Prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners of the Quiz Competition and the participants in the cultural performances, recognizing their talent and hard work.
The Culture Day celebration at GGC Kamber was a memorable display of cultural pride, student talent, and institutional organization. The meticulous planning by Principal Professor Amber Buriro ensured the smooth ex*****on and high quality of every segment. Urdu Poetry Competition 06-12-2025
Government Girls College, Kamber, successfully organized a Urdu poetry competition on December 6, 2025, under the guidance of Principal Prof. Amber Buriro. The event aimed to showcase students' linguistic and literary skills, promoting Urdu language and poetry. Programme supervisors were Dr. Hira Nabi and Sir Irshad Hussain Khoso.
A panel of judges evaluated the performances, taking into account poetic expression, tone, and delivery.
