Many learners think “Shall we…?” is used for the future, but that is not correct.

In English, “Shall we” is mainly used to make polite suggestions.

Example:
Shall we go?
Meaning: I suggest we go. What do you think?

Sindhi:
گهڻا ماڻهو سمجهن ٿا ته “Shall we…?” مستقبل لاءِ استعمال ٿئي ٿو، پر حقيقت ۾ ائين ناهي.
انگريزي ۾ “Shall we” polite suggestion ڏيڻ لاءِ استعمال ٿيندو آهي.

Example:
Shall we go?
Sindhi: اچو تہ هلون؟

"Shall I go?" — Does it mean future? 🤔❌
Most people think "Shall" is always about the future — but that's a common mistake!
👉 "Shall I go?" actually means "Do you want me to go?" — it's asking for someone's opinion or permission, NOT talking about future plans!
And just like that —
👉 "Shall I help you?" = "Do you want me to help you?"
This is how "Shall" is used to make offers in English! 💡

Did you know that when we talk about future plans in English, we usually use the present continuous tense instead of "will" or "shall"?

For example:
✅ "What are you doing this weekend?"
✅ "They're getting married on August 5th this year."

This is how native speakers naturally talk about planned future events. Save this tip and start sounding more natural in your English conversations!

Did you know English doesn't have a future tense? 🤔
While we say "will go" or "going to go" in English, these aren't actually verb tenses - they're just present tense verbs with helping words! English only has two real tenses: past and present, based on verb forms.
Unlike Sindhi and many other languages that have dedicated future tense verb forms, English uses the present tense to talk about the future. Mind-blowing, right? 🧠✨
