The UMT Sialkot Campus was deeply honored to host the High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Pakistan, H.E. HARERIMANA Fatou, for a prestigious campus visit aimed at fostering international collaboration.

The honorable High Commissioner was warmly received by our Worthy Executive Director, Prof. Dr. Saleem Farooq Shaukat.

During the visit, H.E. was given a comprehensive briefing detailing the rich legacy of UMT and the strategic milestones achieved by the UMT Sialkot Campus.

Respected Executive Director and the High Commissioner explored promising avenues for future, collaborative research, and cross-cultural initiatives. We extend our deepest gratitude to Her Excellency for her inspiring visit and look forward to building a transformative partnership with Rwanda.

The Knowledge Unit of Systems and Technology successfully organized CreateX—a fast-paced speed coding and creation competition designed to test real-world technical agility.

The event challenged students to seamlessly navigate three critical phases of the development lifecycle under strict time constraints: Design, Develop, and Debug. Beyond just writing code quickly, CreateX emphasized structural logic, problem-solving under pressure, and the resilience required to debug complex errors on the spot. Seeing our students rise to the challenge with such precision and analytical thinking was incredibly inspiring.

A big thank you to the organizers, mentors, and brilliant participants who made this event a remarkable showcase of technical talent and innovation. The future of tech is in highly capable hands!

Dear Participants,
The 15th Rector’s & Dean’s Merit Award Ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 20 May 2026. Eligible participants for the 15th Rector’s and Dean’s Merit Awards may collect their entry passes from the Office of Controller of Examinations (OCE) at their respective campus i.e. City Campus or Iqbal Campus.
Both campuses will remain open on Saturday for pass collection.

Students without an entry pass will not be allowed to attend the ceremony.
