Lahore, Punjab - Mr. Faisal Manzoor (Chairman, Board of Governors, University of Sialkot) and Mr. Muhammad Rehan Younas (President, IISAT University Gujranwala) hosted a Grand Iftar Dinner in the honor of all academic leaders including the Owners, Rectors, and Vice Chancellor across the country including Karachi, Islamabad, Punjab, and Southern Punjab universities at DHA RAYA Golf Club Lahore.

The event was attended by esteemed guests, who joined in the spirit of harmony and unity to break their fast during the holy month of Ramadan. The Iftar dinner was an opportunity for academic leaders to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen ties between universities.

The Iftar dinner was a testament to the University of Sialkot's commitment to excellence and its leadership role in the education sector. It was an evening of warmth, camaraderie, and goodwill, reflecting the spirit of Ramadan.

The University of Sialkot is hosting an exclusive summit on Women Leadership tomorrow on March 22, 2023 at 11:00 am in Abdul Ghani Auditorium. All Faculty and students are requested to please join.

The University of Sialkot in collaboration of Meezan Bank Limited and State Bank of Pakistan arranged an exclusive awareness seminar on "Islamic Banking and Finance" covering Zakat, Riba Free Products, and Services today on Monday, March 20, 2023, at around 10:00 AM in Abdul Ghani Auditorium.

Large number of participants form The Sialkot Chamber of Commerce & Industry including Mr. Wahab Jahangir (SVP), Khawaja Khawar (Anwar Khawaja Industries), Arshad Latif Butt (Chairman, Sports Goods), Shafiq Sb (Chairman, Banking Committee and Former SVP), Mr. Peter John (EC, SSCI) and a good number of students from faculty of management and administrative sciences along with other faculties joined the event.

Prof Dr Ather Azeem (Dean, FMAS) presented welcome remarks and pledge its full support to spread the message to the masses by preparing student groups. Mr. Nisar Ahmed (Senior Deputy Chief Manager, SBP Sialkot) presented key note address. Dr Uzair Ashraf delivered a detailed talk on the subject topic followed by Q&A session.

استقبال رمضان پر خصوصی نشست
یونی ورسٹی آف سیالکوٹ میں 17 مارچ 2023ء کوعزت مآب ریحان یونس صاحب، چیئر مین جناب فیصل منظور صاحب کی سرپرستی اور خصوصی دلچسپی کے تحت استقبال رمضان پر خصوصی نشست کا اہتمام کیا گیا ۔ جس میں مہمان مقررمعروف مذہبی اسکالر ، مبلغ اسلام ، خطیب اور اینکر پرسن مولانا عمران بشیر صاحب تھے ۔ پروگرام کے موڈریٹر رجسٹرارجناب محمد یعقوب صاحب تھے، اس نشست میں تمام ڈینز ، ڈائیریکٹرز،صدور شعبہ جات ، اساتذہ کرام اورطلبا وطالبات کی کثیر تعداد نے شرکت کی۔ پروگرام کا آغاز تلاوت قرآن مجید اور نعت رسول مقبول سے کیا گیا۔
مولانا عمران بشیر صاحب نے رمضان المبارک کی اہمیت ، فضیلت ، فیض وبرکات پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے یہ واضح کرنے کی کوشش کی کہ کس طرح ہم اپنے اعمال اور عبادات کو پچھلے سال سے بہتر کر سکتے ہیں ؟ عصر حاضر کے چیلنجز کا کس طرح سے کامیابی سے مقابلہ کیا جا سکتا ہے! اسلام دین فطرت ہے جو ہمیں مکمل ضابطہ حیات پیش کرتا ہے۔ روزہ صرف بھوک پیاس اور عبادات کر لینے کا نام نہیں بلکہ روزہ ہمیں ضبط نفس کی ایک ماہ پریکٹس کر کے گناہوں سے خود کو بچانا سکھاتا ہے۔ یہ تقویٰ کے ساتھ ایک پاکیزہ زندگی گزارنے کے ساتھ ساتھ دوسروں کے ساتھ حسن سلوک اور ہمدردی و خوش اخلاقی کا درس بھی دیتا ہے ۔ آج مسلمانوں کے زوال اور پستی کی وجہ یہ ہے کہ ہم مادہ پرست ہو کر انسانیت و آدمیت بھول گئے دلوں سے خوف خدا ختم ہو گیا نفسا نفسی کا عالم ہے ۔ظاہر پرستی نے ہمیں اندر سے روحانی طور پر کھوکھلا کر دیا ۔ وطن عزیز پاکستان اور پوری ملت اسلامیہ کو جن مسائل کا سامنا ہے اس کا حل صرف اور صرف قرآن و سنت پر عمل پیرا ہو کر اللہ کے بتائے ہوئے راہ پر چلنے میں ہے، جس کی بہترین تیاری کے لیے اللہ نے رمضان المبارک کا مہینہ منتخب کیا جس میں ہمیں رب کے حکم کے مطابق زندگی گزارنے کی پریکٹس کروائی جاتی ہے۔ آخر میں اجتماعی دعا بھی کی گئی جس میں رمضان کے فیوض وبرکات سے مستفید ہونے کے ساتھ ساتھ ملک و ملت کی سلامتی کے لیے خصوصی دعا کی گئی ۔

تعزیتی ریفرنس
یونی ورسٹی آف سیالکوٹ میں 14 مارچ 2023ء کو جی سی یونی ورسٹی فیصل آباد کے وائس چانسلر پروفیسر ڈاکٹر شاہد کمال کی ناگہانی موت پر ایک تعزیتی ریفرنس کا انعقاد ہوا۔ جس میں وائس چانسلر عزت مآب ریحان یونس صاحب، چیئر مین بورڈآف گورنرز جناب فیصل منظور صاحب ، رجسٹرار جناب محمد یعقوب صاحب، تمام ڈینز، ڈائیریکٹرز اور اساتذہ کرام نے شرکت کی۔ آغاز میں تلاوت قرآن مجید کی سعادت بی ایس بزنس ڈیپارٹمنٹ فورتھ سمسٹرسے حماد نعیم کو حاصل ہوئی۔ اس کے بعد ڈاکٹر یاسمین کوثر نے ڈاکٹر شاہد کمال صاحب کا مختصر تعارف پیش کیا ۔ آخر میں شعبہ اسلامیات سے ڈاکٹر طاہر المصطفیٰ نے ڈاکٹر شاہد کمال صاحب مرحوم کی مغفرت کی دعا کی ۔ نظامت کے فرائض شعبہ اردو سے ڈاکٹر یاسمین کوثر نے ادا کیے ۔

Honorable Chairman, Board of Governors (Mr. Faisal Manzoor) and Executive Director (Mr. Muhammad Rehan Younas) visited Istanbul Nişantaşı Üniversitesi, Türkiye and met with Prof. Dr. Senay Yalçın (Rector, Istanbul Nişantaşı Üniversitesi) in Istanbul.

Both the leadership acknowledged the need for greater collaboration and synergy to help out the youth of both brotherly countries facing challenges in higher education. The leadership discussed the vision and commitments to higher education in the region. Both universities appreciated the efforts for collaboration to promote higher education and enhance innovation in Science & Technology.
