I would like to bring to the attention of our lawmakers the pressing concern that despite decades of independence, we continue to operate under borrowed laws that were originally crafted by the English. Regrettably, our parliamentarians have failed to enact laws that reflect our own choices and values. Instead of constructive legislation, we witness vacuous rhetoric and unbecoming behavior in the parliament, a revered institution of our nation. It is perplexing what tangible benefits we derive from our elected representatives, who seem to fall short of fulfilling the will of the people. The blame for this shortcoming lies with all of us, as we have not diligently and honestly played our part as loyal citizens. Nonetheless, I pledge to remain committed to my country and its people, just as I have throughout my life. During my tenure as a teacher, I strived to serve the nation to the best of my abilities. I pray that Almighty Allah blesses our homeland with the distinction of being a shining star among nations. - K.M Gondal, Advocate High Court, Office No. 87, Judicial Complex, Sambrial, District Sialkot.Cell No :0312 7690917
