حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ کی شہادت کا واقعہ اسلامی تاریخ کا ایک انتہائی دردناک اور اہم واقعہ ہے، جو محرم الحرام کے آغاز سے جڑا ہوا ہے۔

​حضرت عمر فاروقؓ کی شہادت کے حوالے سے اہم معلومات درج ذیل ہیں:

​۱۔ شہادت کی تاریخ

​حضرت عمر فاروقؓ پر حملہ ۲۶ ذوالحجہ ۲۳ ہجری کو ہوا تھا، اور آپ تین دن شدید زخمی رہنے کے بعد یکم محرم الحرام ۲۴ ہجری کو جامِ شہادت نوش فرما گئے۔ اسی وجہ سے یکم محرم کو آپ کا یومِ شہادت عقیدت و احترام سے منایا جاتا ہے۔

​۲۔ قاتل کا نام

​آپ کو کسی مسلمان نے نہیں، بلکہ ایک مجوسی (آتش پرست) غلام ابو لؤلؤ فیروز نے شہید کیا تھا۔ وہ کوفہ کے گورنر حضرت مغیرہ بن شعبہؓ کا غلام تھا۔

​۳۔ شہادت کا واقعہ

​حضرت عمر فاروقؓ مدینہ منورہ میں مسجدِ نبویﷺ میں فجر کی نماز پڑھانے کے لیے کھڑے ہوئے اور ابھی آپ نے نماز شروع ہی کی تھی کہ صفوں میں چھپے ہوئے ابو لؤلؤ فیروز نے آپ پر خنجر سے ۶ پے در پے وار کیے۔ ان میں سے ایک وار ناف کے نیچے لگا جو جان لیوا ثابت ہوا۔

​حملہ کرنے کے بعد قاتل نے دیگر صحابہ پر بھی وار کیے جس سے کئی صحابہ زخمی اور شہید ہوئے، اور جب اسے اندازہ ہوا کہ وہ پکڑا جائے گا تو اس نے اسی خنجر سے خودکشی کر لی۔

​۴۔ تدفین اور آخری خواہش

​شدید زخمی حالت میں بھی آپ کو مسلمانوں کی نماز کی فکر رہی۔ آپ کی سب سے بڑی خواہش یہ تھی کہ آپ کو رسول اللہﷺ اور اپنے دیرینہ رفیق حضرت ابوبکر صدیقؓ کے پہلو میں جگہ ملے۔ آپ نے اپنے بیٹے حضرت عبداللہ بن عمرؓ کو ام المومنین حضرت عائشہ صدیقہؓ کے پاس اجازت کے لیے بھیجا۔ حضرت عائشہؓ نے فرمایا: "میں نے یہ جگہ اپنے لیے رکھی تھی، لیکن آج میں عمر (رضی اللہ عنہ) کو اپنے نفس پر ترجیح دیتی ہوں"۔

​یوں آپ کی شہادت کے بعد آپ کو روضہ رسولﷺ میں حضرت ابوبکر صدیقؓ کے پہلو میں دفن کیا گیا۔

​حضرت عمر فاروقؓ کی شان میں ایک شعر:

​شہادتِ عمرؓ ہے آغاز سالِ نو کا

عدل و شجاعت کا وہ ستارہ غروب ہو گیا

محرم الحرام اسلامی سال (ہجری تقویم) کا پہلا مہینہ ہے اور یہ اسلام کے چار حرمت والے مہینوں میں سے ایک ہے۔ اس مہینے کو تاریخِ اسلام میں ایک انتہائی اہم اور غمگین مقام حاصل ہے، خاص طور پر نواسہ رسول، حضرت امام حسین علیہ السلام اور ان کے رفقاء کی عظیم قربانی کی وجہ سے۔

​محرم الحرام کے حوالے سے کچھ بنیادی اور اہم باتیں درج ذیل ہیں:

​۱۔ حرمت والا مہینہ

​قرآن پاک میں جن چار مہینوں کو محرم (حرمت والا) قرار دیا گیا ہے، ان میں سے ایک یہ مہینہ بھی ہے۔ اس مہینے میں لڑائی جھگڑے اور جنگ و جدل کی سخت ممانعت ہے۔

​۲۔ واقعہ کربلا (۱۰ محرم الحرام)

​۶۱ ہجری میں عراق کے میدانِ کربلا میں حق اور باطل کا وہ عظیم معرکہ پیش آیا جس نے تاریخ کو بدل کر رکھ دیا۔ حضرت امام حسینؑ نے یزید کی بیعت اور اس کے ظلم و ستم کے سامنے سر جھکانے سے انکار کیا اور دینِ اسلام کی بقا کے لیے اپنے پورے خاندان اور جانثار ساتھیوں کے ہمراہ جامِ شہادت نوش کیا۔

​۳۔ یومِ عاشورہ (۱۰ محرم) کی فضیلت

​۱۰ محرم الحرام کو عاشورہ کہا جاتا ہے۔ اس دن کی تاریخی اور مذہبی اہمیت بہت زیادہ ہے:

​روزہ رکھنا: اسلام میں ۹ اور ۱۰ محرم (یا ۱۰ اور ۱۱ محرم) کا روزہ رکھنا سنتِ نبویﷺ ہے اور اس کی بڑی فضیلت بیان کی گئی ہے۔

​تاریخی واقعات: روایات کے مطابق اسی دن حضرت موسیٰ علیہ السلام اور ان کی قوم کو فرعون کے ظلم سے نجات ملی تھی۔

​۴۔ محرم کا پیغام

​محرم الحرام ہمیں صرف غم منانے کا نہیں بلکہ صبر، استقامت، قربانی، اور باطل کے سامنے ڈٹ جانے کا پیغام دیتا ہے۔ یہ مہینہ ہمیں یاد دلاتا ہے کہ حق کی خاطر اپنا سب کچھ قربان کر دینا ہی اصل کامیابی ہے۔

​امام حسینؑ کی بارگاہ میں ایک خوبصورت شعر:

​انساں کو بیدار تو ہو لینے دو

ہر قوم پکارے گی ہمارے ہیں حسین

Today, May 28, marks a highly significant day in Pakistan's history—Youm-e-Takbeer (The Day of Greatness).

​On this day in 1998, Pakistan conducted its first public nuclear tests (atmi dhmaky / اِٹمی دھماکے) at the Chaghai Hills in Balochistan.

​The Code Name: The series of five simultaneous nuclear tests conducted on May 28 was code-named Chagai-I. This was followed by a sixth test on May 30, code-named Chagai-II.

​The Location: The tests were carried out at Ras Koh Hills in the Chagai District of Balochistan.

​Global Standing: With these tests, Pakistan became the 7th country in the world to successfully develop and test nuclear weapons, and the first (and currently only) nuclear-armed nation in the Muslim world.

​The National Significance: May 28 was officially designated as Youm-e-Takbeer to commemorate national resilience, self-reliance, and the achievement of strategic balance in the region.

Eid ul Adha (often called Bakra Eid or the Festival of Sacrifice) honors the deep devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his son in obedience to God's command before God provided a ram in his place. It also marks the culmination of the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

​The festival centers around communal prayers, family gatherings, and Qurbani—the ritual sacrifice of an animal (such as a goat, sheep, cow, or camel).

Today, the Deputy Director Colleges Sargodha, Malik Zia Ul Hassan SHB, paid an official visit to Government Associate College for Women Chak No. 98 NB Sargodha, where he formally inaugurated the newly established Counselling Center of the college.
During the inauguration ceremony, the Deputy Director Colleges highlighted the importance of counselling services in educational institutions and appreciated the initiative taken by the college administration for providing proper guidance and support facilities to students. He stated that such centres play a vital role in addressing students’ academic, personal, and career-related concerns and contribute positively towards their confidence, mental well-being, and overall personality development.
While visiting the Counselling Center, he expressed his satisfaction over the organized arrangements and thoughtful planning carried out for the benefit of students. He highly appreciated the sincere efforts and visionary leadership of the worthy Principal, Mrs. Nazia Altaf, whose dedication and commitment made this valuable initiative possible. He also acknowledged the hard work and enthusiasm of the Incharge of the Counselling Center, Mrs. Rukhsana Riaz, for her remarkable contribution in establishing and managing the centre effectively.
