A right step in the right direction by Al-Mehran Foundation, Sanghar
Needless to say, Education is the most pressing need of the time, and an indispensable imperative to the progress and prosperity in the modern world. Considering that fact Al-Mehran Foundation (Registered) established Al-Mehran English Medium School in Maqsoodo Rind, a small to
wn in district Sanghar, to cater to the educational needs of the area. Al-Mehran Foundation is deeply grateful to noted local poet Mr Haqeer Huzoor Bux Rind and intellectual Mr Mir Alam Mari, who kindly consented to attend the opening ceremony of the school. The Foundation has taken upon this responsibility as a national duty, not as an enterprise with commercial considerations. It may best be exemplified by the enrolment of children belonging to a nomad community Gurgilo, which is generally treated as social outcast. The dedicated team of teachers under the guidance of young educationist and academician Amjad Ajiz Mangi is striving hard to offer quality education at the institute. All the teachers at the institute possess the required qualifications, and more importantly the required spirit and character to educate the children, hailing mostly from the underprivileged families. As an effort that no child must be deprived of education due to poverty, ten percent of the enrolment has been made free, and other miscellaneous expenses are also borne by the institute. Due to this act of the institute, five children, hailing from a nomad community (Gurgilo), are seeking education, which is a massive development as mostly their children become beggars and live the rest of their lives on charity. In order to improve further the quality of education, to bring transparency in the management and moreover to involve the community in the education of their children, School Management Committee has been decided to be formed during this summer vacation. It is earnestly hoped that this little effort made by Al-Mehran Foundation, a literary organization, headed by well known literary figure and journalist Aajiz Mangi, Housh Muhammad Mangi (Daily Dawn correspondent for Sanghar district) and Amjad Aajiz Mangi will be the harbinger of progress and prosperity of this small town-Maqsoodo Rind.
