The Chairman, Board of Governors (BoG), MTI Swat, visited Saidu Medical College and MTI Swat from 3rd to 5th September.
During his visit, the Chairman:
Inaugurated the 1st Undergraduate International Research Conference, organized by the Undergraduate Research Society (URS) of Saidu Medical College.
Held an interactive meeting with the faculty of Saidu Medical College, where academic and institutional matters were discussed.
Attended the meeting of the Board of Governors (BoG) and participated in discussions on important matters related to MTI Swat.
Visited Saidu Teaching Hospital and reviewed various aspects of hospital services and ongoing activities.
The visit provided an important opportunity to review academic, administrative, and clinical affairs and to interact with faculty and institutional leadership for further improvement of medical education and healthcare services at MTI Swat.

Today, a Pre-Conference Workshop was successfully conducted at Saidu Medical College & Hospital, MTI, Swat by the Workshop Committee.
The session was facilitated by
Professor Dr. Naeemullah and Mr. Gulkaram Khan, Biostatistician from Gaju Khan Medical College, Swabi.
The theme of workshop was sampling Techniques and SPSS

The workshop saw active participation from both students and faculty members of Saidu Medical College.
The inaugural address was delivered by Professor Dr. Israr-ul-Haq, Dean MTI-SMC. He commended the facilitators for their dedication and hard work in organizing the event. Addressing the participants, he stressed the importance of focusing on studies and research to excel in the modern era of scientific innovation.

He further highlighted that research has become an integral part of the curriculum in both undergraduate and postgraduate medical examinations worldwide, and that developing research skills is essential for the professional growth of future medical practitioners.

A successful beginning!
The Pre-Conference Workshop Series of SMC International Research Conference 2026 officially commenced on Friday, 21st August, with an insightful and highly successful workshop led by Associate Professor Dr. Abdul Hadi, Department of Cardiology.

The session brought together students, faculty, and postgraduate participants for an engaging learning experience filled with valuable knowledge and practical insights. A truly remarkable start to the conference’s academic journey.

Flag hoisting and Independence Day celebrations were held with patriotic spirit at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Regional Office, MTI Saidu Medical College, Swat.

The ceremony reflected our shared commitment to the values of freedom, unity, peace, and national service. The national flag was hoisted with pride, followed by prayers for the progress, prosperity, and security of Pakistan.

Another milestone for SMC, MTI-Swat!

Establishment of Fungal Disease Surveillance and Mycology Diagnostic Services at STH, SMC, MTI-Swat.

Shields were presented to Dr. Fazal Hanan and Prof. Dr. Israr-ul-Haq in recognition of their valuable support and contributions by NFDSS and CEOH, NIH Islamabad.
