St Mary’s Convent School was owes its origin to the Dominican Congregation, called School Missionaries, under the administration of highly qualified sisters from Italy, who started their service of education in Italy in 1981, Known as (“Misionare della scuola”) and are committed to the integral education of all students. They came to Pakistan in 1948. Mary’s Convent School Sahiwal began classes in
1953 in hired bungalow. In 1954 it moved into the premises of the present school. The ground floor of the present building was constructed in 1960and the first storey in 1989. The school developed constantly and reached a very high standard of education. It is recognized by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Multan. Now it includes higher Secondary F.Sc classes. The higher secondary education, F.Sc aims at forming individuals who are:-
• Intellectually competent
• Morally sound
• Psychologically whole
• Imbued with the sense of the divine
• Committed to the cause of justice, love and peace
Open to further growth, able to discern and face the challenges of our time, and give an active contribution to society. In the face of declining education and discipline standards, that has been unfortunately characterized as the status “Quo” of our education system, the responsibility of continuing to maintain a standard that they had set at the start, must contribute more to the growth of Pakistan. Today, when the world is on the threshold of a new age, St. Mary’s Convent Higher Secondary School section can take stock of its great past, vibrant present and a bold future for the young ladies who are the builders of the Pakistan of tomorrow, without whose education and active participation, Pakistan cannot progress in any field and especially in religious, moral and human values. Therefore, we would like each girl to make a personal commitment. The Sisters who served in this institution as principals:
