Maria Montessori, the creator of Montessori Education System saw much need for the reforms in the educational system of her day, just as we see the same need for reform in our educational system today. Montessori schooling provide a carefully planned, stimulating environment which helps the child develop an excellent foundation for creative learning. A Montessori based educational environment not only meet all the educational needs, but it also teaches children an “I can do it” attitude that will ensure their future success in all aspects of their life. The items found on the shelves in the classroom are “materials” rather than “toys.” The children “work with the materials” rather than “play with the toys.” This allows the children to gain the most benefit from the environment by giving them a sense of worth – the same sense of worth adults experience as they go to their jobs and do their “work.”

Our Vision:

First Step Pre-School believes that each child is unique, capable, creative and intelligent. Our role is to support these qualities and to challenge every child in an appropriate way so that they develop fully and reach their full potential during the formative years of 0 - 6 years of age (“sensitive period” of a child). We trust that an excellent well balanced education is the single most valuable asset to bestow upon our students.

**🍉 Day 10 – Watermelon Fiesta 🍉**

Today, as part of our exciting Summer Camp activities, we celebrated a delightful **"Watermelon Fiesta"!**

Our little campers had a wonderful time learning about the nutritional benefits of watermelon while enjoying hands-on activities. They enthusiastically helped prepare and enjoy refreshing **watermelon smoothies** and delicious **watermelon lollies**.

The day was filled with laughter, learning, healthy treats, and endless smiles as our young learners explored the joys of healthy eating in a fun and interactive way.
