Margalla Institute of Health Sciences (MIHS) has started
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) program, at its component
college, Margalla College of Pharmacy (MCP). The health disciplines which are being conducted at
the MIHS include Pharm.D, BDS and DPT. All the disciplines
are accredited by highly reputed professional universities of
the country. It is a matter of pride that until now 11 batches
of BDS

and 10 batches of B.Sc. Physiotherapy have passed
out from the institution and are remarkably performing
their professional duties at various public and private sector
ventures. Margalla College of Pharmacy has been established in 2010
with new teaching facilities and setting up of research
laboratories which are well equipped to meet the growing
demand and requirement of producing pharmacy graduates,
who can play their effective role in bringing perfection in the
drug delivery system. Doctor of Pharmacy is a five (5) years degree program in
accordance with the requirements of Higher Education
Commission (HEC) and the Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. The Pharmacy Council of Pakistan, which is a statutory body
for regulating the pharmacy profession, has granted NOC for
Pharm.D in 2011. The Pharm.D program is affiliated with the
University of Sargodha. The postgraduate studies i.e. M.Phil. in the various
disciplines of pharmacy like Pharmaceutical Chemistry,
Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics and Pharmacognosy is in
process and is expected to start in the near future.
