Netherlands' Olympian Sifan Hassan made history at the Paris Olympics 2024 by winning the gold medal in the 42.5-kilometer Olympic Marathon, setting a new record time of 2 hours, 22 minutes, and 55 seconds. She also became the first athlete to win medals in all three long-distance events at the same Olympic Games, having already won bronze in the 5,000 and 10,000 meters.
